Things can get a bit lousy in life and maybe that is the reason for my inner cuts. I didn't accompany George and he was okay with it, but I couldn't shake the feeling of finding myself again. I was retracting home at night, and all of a sudden I noticed that I had left my phone in George's car. I quickly trudged back. The gate was open. I paused for a moment to step in, but then I squeezed my eyes shut and decided to face my biggest fear. What shocked me even more is that George was kissing another woman by the grand golden gate.The thud of my sparkly silver purse hitting the floor stirred up their charged juncture. He turned around and nervousness was very much evident in his eyes.
"Why did you come back?" Huhh thats it!! Care to explain why did you kiss another woman?He had the audacity to ask that question!What a jerk!!
a prick!! a monster!! I was fuming with anger.
Both my knuckles were definitely getting ready.
The notion of being defeated made me realise that I must take a step back.
I ensured that he didn't chase after me back to his car. Now that I know where I stand, a little scratch on the car won't hurt me.
I took a giant rock and broke his window pane to get hold of my phone.I was immediately slammed towards the car's bonet by two sturdy palms. His torture ensued by strangling me.
"Bitch, do you even know whose that car is?
It is not even mine, it my boss's car" he said hardening his grip on my neck. I tried to pull myself away..but all in vain. His other hand was working on by incessantly hitting my face. The persistent damage on my body only further weakened my charming aura.
"P.. please...let me go." I was begging but he wouldn't. I didn't know this side of George.
His grip further tightened making me whimper.
"I'm sso..ry" my voice turned into whisper out of the pain in my body.
"Do you even realise that I could lose my job after this?" He once again slammed me and dropped me.
I heard two people approaching. My eyes were closed shut due to the torment when he let go of me. But I never landed. It was the same familiar hands that once took me in a bridal carry one year ago.I tried to open my eyes, but my vision was blurred. He rested my head on his lap and his fingers were caressing my cheeks.Somehow even if it is my hallucination, I felt myself relaxing.
"The moment you decided to date your boss's fiance, you have already managed to lose your job." That was justin's voice.Wait what??!!.
The only thing that I remember before waking up from the hospital bed was justin saying that I was someone's fiance. My mom was getting food ready in the plate. I intendly glared at her.
"What is it kanna?" She asked noticing my anger.
"Are you hiding something from me?" I asked her, knowing well that if there is something that she is hiding, she will explain that to me. She paused for a moment before answering.
"I do have something to tell you. Now that your exams are over, you must know that your father is always busy with his business abroad.Over the time his business started dropping on it's own. One company supported your father's business in exchange for a marriage proposal. They already knew that you were a college student so they didn't want to burden you with such a big decision. Your father agreed with the proposal. I know it is unfair for you , but we as parents also want what is best for you."
Ladies and gentlemen, typical Indian parents.
"Why didn't you ask me?"
"Can you blame us? You just got beaten up by a Christian boy who was your boyfriend..why didn't you tell us..For lord's sake , different caste?...why did you think that we would accept that? Do you even know what would society think about us..?" Oh. Busted. I decided to stay quiet. I actually didn't think that they would accept it hence I didn't further argue. I was thinking about eloping.
"Heyy..you said that you wouldn't be be attending the graduation party and why didn't you tell us that you were coming?" That was pierre's voice interrupting mom. Justin, Pierre, daniel and my jaw dropped at the person next to daniel who just entered the room. So it wasn't my delusion. He was here. The prince of hell was here. He was wearing white shirt and blue jeans which perfectly suited him.
"I .. forgot my p..hone.." I answered pierre who seemed angry.
"You knew that we were there and yet you did something like that alone?" This was from daniel. Great!!
"I..w.. wasn't thinking pro..perly" why am I feeling nervous?
Even his mere presence is making me nervous. Why is it that my voice is stuttering. He is engaged to someone and I'm also with someone else...why does it feel like I was cheating?
"Oh good that you guys are here. Can you guys stay here? I need to go and finish up the billing procedure?" Mom asked glaring at me feeling like she has won over some kind of big trophy. She is both happy and angry at me right now. Happy; because I chose friends who would reprimand me like her and angry; because of the previous reasons.
"I'll come with auntie " Justin offered tapping on adithya's shoulder to which he nodded.
"Okay " Mom agreed.
"We will be going out for a coffee " pierre and daniel was about to leave when I tried to stop them , but they ignored me. They left me with the prince of hell alone. He was seriously looking at me. Why did they have to leave me alone now?
