Chapter 15 - Chapter 6: Life in Ranoa

Rudeus's Point of View

In the afternoon, I left the three of them at the mansion and headed to the Magic University. I walked directly to the Vice Principal's office, Jinas Halfar, papers in hand.

I knocked on the door.

"Come in," Jinas's calm voice replied.

I entered, and he looked up. "Well, Mr. Rudeus Greyrat. What brings you here?"

"I would like to request special admission for my sisters... and for a friend," I said bluntly.

Jinas narrowed his eyes, visibly interested.

"Special exams, you say? They must be quite talented students for you to recommend them."

I nodded.

"All three can use spell-less casting.

My sisters, Aisha and Norn, already master Saint-Level water and wind magic...

And my friend, Arthur, is a King-Rank mage."

Jinas took two seconds to process the information.

"Ah... of course," he said, trying to maintain his composure. "As one would expect from the sisters of the famous Rudeus Greyrat."

Then he raised an eyebrow.

"So you have taught them well, to reach those ranks."

"Ah, no, you are mistaken," I replied without hesitation. "It was Arthur who has been training my sisters. He taught them discipline, magical control... and much more."

Jinas nodded with renewed interest.

The Vice Principal took a pen and began signing forms.

"Very well. I will make arrangements for the three of them. They will participate in the Special Examination for Advanced Students. Their capabilities will be evaluated directly by high-level staff."

"Thank you, Vice Principal Jinas."

"You are welcome. Although... I must admit," he said with a slight smile. "I am very curious to see how far these youngsters you bring with you can go."

I left the office and walked through the university hallways. "Good, it's done... I should go see how Nanahoshi is doing..."

Third Person

A week later, the four of them walked out of the Magic University after receiving the results of the Special Examination. There was a peculiar mix of emotions among them.

Aisha walked along, taking small leaps, clearly proud; she had obtained the highest score... along with Arthur.

Norn, on the other hand, walked with her arms crossed and a look of slight annoyance.

"But you only beat me by one point," Norn complained, pressing her lips together.

"One point is still a victory~" Aisha retorted, lifting her chin with an air of triumph that only increased her sister's frustration.

A few steps behind, Arthur and Rudeus walked, watching the scene as if they knew it by heart.

"Do you think they'll be alright?" Rudeus asked, looking at the girls with some concern, as if he feared they might start throwing spells in the middle of the street.

Arthur calmly shook his head.

"Don't worry. It never escalates. Whether they fight or not, they always end up looking out for each other... even if it doesn't look like it."

Rudeus let out a little laugh, relieved by the blond's certainty.

"I guess I believe you. After all, you practically grew up with them these past few years," Rudeus added sincerely. "The Vice Principal personally congratulated me on them. He said they were geniuses."

Arthur scratched his cheek, uncomfortable with the praise.

"Well... if we're talking about pure genius, that would only be Aisha. Norn, on the other hand..." he looked at her with a mix of affection and respect. "She gets where she is through pure hard work. She's consistent, disciplined... she doesn't give up. That's what makes her who she is."

Rudeus raised an eyebrow, surprised by the maturity of his words.

"You talk like someone who understands them too well."

Arthur didn't respond, but his gaze softened for an instant as he watched Norn and Aisha.

Arthur's Point of View

From the day we received the exam results, my routine quickly settled. Like Aisha and Norn, I started attending the Magic Academy, wearing the official uniform. However, my true classroom was the library.

I spent most of my time reading and analyzing the theory books with the help of the Great Sage. Since we were "special students," our attendance in required classes was flexible, allowing me to dedicate myself to research.

The girls also explored their interests. Although they sometimes came with me, they generally enjoyed the freedom of the Academy.

In those days, Nanahoshi also made her first appearance at the mansion, and I had the chance to meet her.

In the domestic sphere, what I enjoyed most was the Japanese-style bath that Rudeus had recreated. I truly missed that kind of immersion; the first time I entered, it was as if I were back in Japan. Aisha, in a very particular way, took care of me. Previously, when we were at the Latreia house, she asked me to let her be my maid, and I quickly refused, thinking she would give up. It seems she didn't, because now when I tried to wash my own clothes, she would push me out of the spot, taking over the task. She seemed even happier doing these things. "I thought she had changed regarding that, but apparently, she was just waiting for another moment," I thought.

My magic training continued without fail, but now with a much more solid knowledge base. With the help of the library's texts, I was finally able to use Emperor-Rank magic, although the control was still limited. I trained daily, making great progress in elemental and healing magic, as well as in my sword style, the Sword of Dawn Style, which had now solidified its King-Rank level and was adapting perfectly to my body.

I was focused on a single goal: getting stronger to defeat Hitogami, and protecting the people I care about in this world.

One night, almost asleep, the tranquility broke. I heard groans that seemed to come from the main room (Rudeus and Sylphiette).

"Damn it, Rudeus, could you be more discreet?" I thought, feeling my "little friend" instantly rise. I tried to concentrate on other things, fighting to ignore the noise.

One Month Later

We had completely adapted to life in Ranoa. Going to the university became routine.

I started noticing that I attracted a lot of attention from some female students in other courses. Sometimes they would approach me in the library or the hallways, trying to strike up a conversation. However, Aisha, who had become extremely territorial, chased them off one way or another.

Aisha, along with Norn, quickly earned a feared name at the Academy: "The Tempestuous Sisters." Some students told me they quickly earned respect due to their incredible magical ability and their zero-tolerance attitude.

As for me, I don't know why, but the nickname circulating was "The Prince of Dawn" (El Príncipe de Alba). I asked the reason, but students only said I radiated a princely aura. "I don't know where they got that, but I suspect Aisha and Norn spread those rumors," I thought, resigned. But it was better than being known as "the library weirdo."

We also had the opportunity to meet all of Rudeus's friends. Among them were the two beast girls, Rinia and Pursena. Seeing them in person, I couldn't help but look at their ears and tail, feeling a pang of curiosity to touch them. As soon as I had that thought, I felt a chilling shiver down my spine. Turning around, I only saw Aisha and Norn smiling too sweetly, which made me immediately forget that idea.

We also met Zanoba Shirone, that strange disciple of Rudeus, obsessed with figures and strength. We met Cliff Grimoire, a talented and arrogant young man. And finally, the second person I saw with pointy ears.
