Aries could be seen inside his room, seated on the bed. He had just finished bathing for the night and was about to have a night's rest after all the ups and downs of the day.
It's been about two weeks since he got to the world—one day in the palace and thirteen days at the pleasure house. A sigh left his lips as he recalled his earlier discussion with Barris.
"We've been summoned to the palace."
Her words had dropped like a bomb in Aries' heart as panic struck him straight away. The Tiger King wishes to see him, and for what reasons? To kill him perhaps. How did he know he was there?
All these thoughts raked Aries' mind as he brooded hard, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
But then, Barris spoke, "But the King isn't around, and I know you're busy with work here, so I'll go in your stead and bring feedback."
And instantly, Aries was relieved of the worry that clutched at his heart, and he managed to breathe well again.
