Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Blue Village

Far away from the clamor of technology, there was a small town whose people belonged to a peculiar sect—a sect devoted to Vorona, the god of water.

In ancient times, this sect lived among ordinary people, but over time, due to their annoying behavior and mockery of others, they separated from society and sought refuge in a region near Aqonias.

The townspeople had no faith in technology, modern fashion, or contemporary tools. They still used natural instruments and traditional clothing, and their lives were calm and simple.

Among these traditional people lived a girl whose heart was unlike anyone else's.

She loved the modern world and technology, yet she also believed in Vorona, the god of water.

Her name was Oumi, which in Japanese means "sea."

Oumi was the daughter of the town's king and was destined to become queen one day, but contrary to everyone's expectations, she had no interest in ruling. Her greatest wish was freedom… to see the world beyond the stone walls of her town.

She had often thought of escaping, but a tall, impenetrable wall surrounded the city.

The only way out was the merchant carriage, which traveled outside the walls once a month to bring food, fabric, and essential goods.

Oumi had tried several times to sneak away with that carriage, but each attempt failed.

Fortunately, because she was the king's daughter, she was not punished—otherwise, any ordinary person would have faced twenty lashes.

Although Oumi could not leave the city, she had a friend within the merchant caravan: a boy named Yamos—whose name in Hebrew also meant "sea."

Yamos brought Oumi modern clothes and treats, things forbidden in the town.

Oumi would hide her items in a small box by the sea, beneath the sand, so that no one could find them.

If the items were discovered, Yamos would be punished, and Oumi herself would no longer be allowed to leave the palace to meet the townspeople.

Yamos was a noble and handsome boy, with black hair, sparkling eyes, and a well-built body.

Many girls in the town were in love with him, but he rejected them all… for his heart belonged only to Oumi.

Yet Oumi was unaware of this love, seeing him only as a simple friend.

> Oumi did not know that her encounter with a stranger from lands beyond the sea would change her destiny forever…
