Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

A cold, icy hand pressed onto my mouth, I felt as though their fingernails pierced through my cheek just by how sharp their nails were. "MPHHHH!!" I yelled kicking my feet, by their body I could assume they were a dude. I could tell because he had me against him so I couldn't run, and that since I was against his chest, I could feel he had no tits . "A human are you? You haven't been enslaved yet so it seems, how's that? I would've paid a good amount of money to make you my personal prostitute." His voice was husky and deep, I could almost hear his smug face. It was almost sickening. Realization had just hit me, he was a vampire, vampires hands are usually ice cold aren't they? I can't tell, I used to snooze whenever Richard would teach me about vampires. Damn it all, I should've listened to him. Actually— even if I did listen to him it would've been bullshit anyway, that guy's a fibber when it comes to stories. The man turned me around, releasing his hand from my mouth to see me. The man was tall, I never really had a good time telling how tall people were, inches and feet and all that —but he was tall, he had fluffy white hair that was only a few shades lighter than his skin. His clothes were a stylish black covered in fashionable chains lacing his upper body with a studded belt. "Eyes up here, first human I found and she's a pervert." A smile tugged on his lips as his lips curved, a dimple forming on his cheek, I processed what he said for a second, Me?? A pervert? "What? what are you— whatever.. um.. bye!" I sprinted and ran for my life, I looked behind me and he was gone. Thank the lord for this shifting forest! My glee was cut quickly as he appeared in front of me, this time with open hugging arms and grinning. My god, is he some type of sadist? "Hey hey hey! Where are you going? I haven't even did anything yet, let's introduce ourselves as human, I'm Lucien. And you— actually I don't really give a damn what your name is, you're coming with me." Before I could react his ice cold hands blocked my airway, "WHA—STOP!" I shrieked my yell falling short reducing to a loud whisper, my hands clawed at his to get off but our height and weight ratios were completely different. Even so I kicked, I probably looked crazy. Even though I could've sworn we were the same age his strength was overbearing. He's saying something, but I can't really make it out. He pressed on my throat deeper, completely cutting my air supply— my vision gets blurry, my eyes welling up with tears as black fades into my vision, til I go unconscious.

I gasp. Huffing and puffing, catching my breath. I look around quickly, the last thing I recall is getting choked by— what was his name loocen? Lucien? Lucien. Fuck that vampire.. My hands go to my throat unconsciously to where he pressed on my neck patting it off like he left dust on it, I stand up. I was on a white bed in a dark room with a dim light, I glanced outside the door. Outside the room it was a mansion, the halls were long with chandeliers and beautiful symbol carvings on the doors, with uncompressionable writings that coated the walls making it a design.

Aubrey continues walking for a while. Her plan being to escape through the first exit she sees , but she's trapped in the mazes of the mansion.

A big doorway appeared made out of stone that was cracked open, Don't mind if I do. Aubrey slips into the doorway as it shuts right behind her and jumps internally.

"Fuck.. that scared me.."

It was a library, a gigantic one at that. Books and books and even more books further than the eye can see, a human was tidying the shelves. A human? That means they don't just kill us off right?

I steadily walk closer to the girl on the ladder, making sure not to catch anyone's attention. The girl had a white bodice on with a large ankh symbol, the ends of the ankh being sharper and the top almost looking like wings. Her waist was covered in shackles and she had a peculiar look in her eyes. Humans eye color ranges from brown to blue, even green sometimes— but this girl's pupils were dilated, large with her Iris being a bright neon pink. Even though I was in the girls field of vision she completely ignored me, rude. I nudged her, but she didn't reply. I nudged her again, she still didn't reply. I nudged her harder. She still didn't move. I pinched her and she still didn't move from her spot. A book suddenly fell from above, looking up you couldn't even see the ceiling. It was never-ending books,I looked back down and she was scurrying off her ladder to pick up the book, her black hair flowing with her. She bent to pick the book up and I saw a weird marking on her neck, it was a bold text on the back of her neck. "SLAVE" the sight of it scared me, a shiver down my sign. Since she wasn't responding anyway I left the library, even if a part of me wanted to stay and read some books. I've always heard of the concept of books. When the Eternal Maw hadn't taken over, Edith says that people had all types of forms of entertainment, television, books being one of the many forms.

I shake my head hard, I need to find an exit. Fast, Now. I pace through the long halls, I hear footsteps. I hide in the first room I see. Thankfully it was some type of small closet.

A husky, deep voice began talking, "I found a little unmarked human yesterday." I know that voice— It was the guy who kidnapped me the other day.

"Unmarked?" questioned the other guy, his voice was deeper, more raspier. "Yes, and for some reason she doesn't have that putrid human smell on her." Their conversation turned out as they went further down the fall.

My heart thumped fast. I needed to escape, now. I sprinted as soon as their voice faded to nothing down the hall. After a while of running and avoiding people it was like there was no end.

A women appeared out of nowhere, she had a pixie cut bob that was hot pink – What's with everyone and hot pink? Its getting repetitive now. She had bright blue eyes that matched her pale skin. A stylish brown copper collar on her neck with v-neck top, it was white laced while the fabric was a blueish jean color. ,What really caught my eye, was her jewlery. I have never seen anything like it, she was glammed out in punk jewlery with necklaces over necklaces.

"A new servant are you? Have you not been given a task?" The woman asked me, her face stern.

Oh my god. Is she gonna catch me? Am I gonna die? My clothes aren't even cute enough to die in, i dont even have makeup on.

"Yes ma'am, im making my way down now." Her face got more tense, I guess she could see me shaking. Whatever, how's that even my fault?

The women grabbed my hair hard, yanking my head down exposing the back of my neck, I wailed loudly, I couldn't even move. Which was strange actually, she doesn't look muscular at all.

"Tch. Don't lie to me, you haven't even been branded yet. Are you the new batch of slaves? Whatever, The Valborne deal with shit like that." The lady sighed before kicking me to the floor.

"FUCK! WHAT WAS THAT FOR??" i shrieked, she slammed me to the wall with the kick, i could've sworn i dented the wall, i hunched forward invoultarly by the hit. Shes speaking a language I can't understand, I see her eyes go from blue to a purplish red while she chants.

"Such a naughty mouth, we'll have to fix that. No matter— Audiat me solum, ubi sto, et audiat me ventus, quem spiro. Accipe conscientiam huius puellae et me sine eam regere." As soon as she chanted, I felt my vision fade, instead of fading to black it faded to the same purplish red that her pupils turned too. I soon became unconscious, before i did she kicked me once more, damn she was cruel. It went purple.

My eyes widened. Are you kidding me?This is the second time this has happened to me now. I swiftly observed my surroundings. I was in a jail cell, damn. If only i didnt pick those damn berries, what the hell did Edith need berries for? Her berry pie is ass. While getting up I realize my hands are shackled, tugging on them. They're tight. I sigh sitting back in the bed thinking of all the ways I could've avoided this. The dungeon is like how a petshop would be, never ending cells stacked on top of each other, with only a few torches in the room.

"Eww.." I said loudly, to my shock the mattress I sat on had dried blood on it.

"Shut the hell up woman!" A voice below me started yelling at me— Damn what'd I do to him? "Stupid woman." A voice above me now, "My gosh shut up what's wrong with you." What the fuck? Why am I stuck with so many fat haters?

After cursing them out in my head of course, since I'm too much of a pussy to say it outloud, I spotted a large sign, it was a dusty white iron plate. It listed, "9,492" Odd, was that my number or something? I finally looked down, I wasn't that far up actually, I was near ground level. I could still see the floor, even though it looked as if the cells never ended. A small cracked white door that was heavily guarded with chains and locks clicked once, then twice. After a while it finally unlocked as a flock of people entered the room. My eyes widened a bit, Edith was covered in bruises, her face that was spotless only covered in wrinkles and moles now covered in scars.
