Chapter 19 - Unwanted House Guest

The drive home seemed longer than usual. Whether the driver was moving slowly or everyone had something on their mind. The ride home was not what either Ember or Aiden had planned.

And Aiden had a lot planned.

The three people stepped out of the car. One smiling, one grumpy, and the other passive.

Ember refused to move too far from Aiden. Always felt as though Valentina was up to something. She didn't know what it was, but she was clinging to Aiden a little too tightly for her liking.

Ember no longer cared whether it was a book or her past life. This is her life now, and she wouldn't let anyone take Aiden away. Especially someone like Valentina.

But she couldn't quite wrap her head around why Valentina kept trying to get close to Aiden. Today, she might have been trying to fuck him.

Since she came to her house, Ember would try to find out what she wanted.

As they walked into the house, Valentina spoke, "Aiden, where should I stay?" Her eyes twinkled as if she were looking at her one true love.

Ember almost gagged. Thinking about the man, she saw Valentina sucking off, she couldn't help but stand closer to Aiden.

"You can stay in the guest room in the west of the house," Ember answered before Aiden did. She called one of the maids to come and escort Valentina to her room.

"But I told my father that we're good friends." Valentina's eyes shimmered with unshed tears.

"What does you lying to your father have to do with me? You know we aren't friends. You're a shameless slut who refuses to leave my brother alone. Either stay in the west guest room or leave."

Ember did not hold back her contempt for Valentina. Even now, she pretended to be innocent. It made her sick.

Valentina ignored Ember, instead directing a question to Aiden.

"Aiden, don't you want your sister and me to get along with each other? I remember my dad talking to you about us getting married. Isn't that the reason you agreed to get in contact with me?"

When Ember heard about Aiden marrying Valentina, she almost lost her sanity. Her eyes blurred, and she was about to pounce onto Valentina when she heard Aiden's voice.

"I did not agree to a marriage with your father. He did ask, yes. But I refused. The reason we continued to have contact was the hope of your father. It had nothing to do with me."

Plus, I could use you to make my little thing jealous.

Aiden didn't voice the last part, keeping that to himself and possibly Ember after they talked.

Valentina's eyes grew wide, a single tear sliding down her face. She looked heartbroken. Yet, the two people standing with her looked at her as if it wasn't any of their business.

"Am I so disgusting that you can't stand looking at me? You don't even consider me someone to marry? What kind of woman would be worthy of you then?"

"Me," chimed Ember.

"You're his sister!" Valentina's voice was unusually high pitched, breaking as she spoke.

"And yet...," Ember grabbed Aiden's neck, pulling him down to her.

He didn't resist. He wanted to see what she would do.

Ember kissed him, hot, desperate, and claiming. He didn't resist, pulling her closer to him, their tongues tangled, completely forgetting the person standing nearby.

Aiden placed his hand on the back of her neck, making sure she couldn't pull away. Then he placed bruising kisses on her lips. Since she dared to provoke him, he would teach her a lesson.

His hand gripped her ass. She was pulled flush against him, her breasts pressing against him. Her nipples hard and aching for his touch.

When she felt him reaching under her skirt, she bit him, hard enough to draw blood.

She still remembered that Valentina was here.

She was able to push him away, staring at Valentina with a trumphant smirk.

Valentina's eyes were wide. She didn't expect to see this pair of brother and sister kissing. Everything she knew was just turned on its head. Is this why he kept the bracelet and refused to give it to her?

She gritted her teeth, clenching her hands so tight, she almost drew blood.

Aiden and Ember watched her reaction. They knew something was wrong.

Her expression didn't last long, but it was long enough for the people who were carefully watching.

Both Aiden and Ember had the same thought. Valentina was up to something.

"How could you both do that? Don't you know what would happen if anyone found out about this?" Valentins turned to Aiden, her expression a mixture of shock and pleading. "Aiden, don't do this to yourself. She's your sister, don't let her pull you down into something so depraved."

Annoying

The thoughts of both people coincided.

"Are you staying or not? Aiden and I want to get dinner and go to bed. You're stopping our alone time." Ember said, looking at her nails.

"You-" Valentina started, only to be cut off.

"I told you before, he's mine. Don't bring your fake face here and pretend to be an angel. Either stay or fuck off."

And with that, Ember dragged Aiden into the house.

Whether Valentina chooses to stay is none of their business. But it's obvious she wants something, so she will definitely stay.

Valentina, who stayed behind, didn't hide behind the innocent mask anymore. Her face contorted into something else. The narcissistic manipulator she knew herself to be. Exuding not innocent charm, but a woman who has held men in the palm of her hand.

She can crush them and take whatever she wants.

As she stood there, she cursed Aiden. Whether in the past life or this life, he is dismissive of her. Even when fucked, she could feel he was far away. He wasn't looking at her but through her.

He was seeing something or someone she couldn't see.

She wouldn't stand for it in this life.

She killed Ember in the past, and she can do it again.
