Maria and KB invited Tony and other's to their conference room, Maria ordered her assistant to bring refreshments for the guest , while everyone started talking about day- day to life after the refreshment arrived , KB specially hinted at her sister to order cheese burger for Tony .
Tony started wolfing down the burger as soon as he saw it , while munching the burger he remembered for what purpose he came to KB , Tony looked at KB and said, in a arrogant tone '' KB I really like your hospitality, and this cheese burger I loved it very much , please tell Pepper from where you ordered it , I Tony Stark is very pleased by their service .''
But leave aside that, I came here with a purpose , you all know I was kidnapped, those days were really nightmares for me ,'' saying that Tony couldn't help but appear pale and took a sip of water to moist his throat as well as to calm his mind.
'' Although those days where nightmares for me , but it also made me realise how fragile human life can be , if it weren't for that man Ethan I couldn't survive and would perhaps lost all my hopes from leaving from that damn place,'' said Tony appearing a little emotional.
''Oh! It seems this Ethan seems unique to be remembered by you Mr. Stark,'' said Maria in a sarcastic tone.
Tony Didn't mind her sarcastic tone , he praised him wholeheartedly his eyes slightly red thinking about Ethan;
''Ms Maria he is really special , because who could sacrifice their life for others just to buy time for me , so I can truly escape and survive, perhaps saving me was beatitude for him , he was lonely , because he had no one waiting for him unlike me ,'' as he said this Tony couldn't help but glance at Pepper from the corner of his eyes.
The atmosphere in the conference room couldn't help but become quiet, everyone couldn't help but become emotional after hearing what Tony said, even Natasha looked at him with new eyes.
KB appears calm and enigmatic as he listens to Tony , he couldn't help but say to tony with calm and compassionate tone,'' The Universe whispers to those who must change .What you experience was not pain and punishment but preparation . Ethan's sacrifice is the spark that ignites your rebirth.''
Hearing what KB said , Tony couldn't help but say with a bitter laugh ;
''Rebirth? I'm an engineer , nota monk . I build things .Weapons , Machines .That's what I do .''
KB sighs , as Tony couldn't get what he said , but the time will make him realise what he actually meant .
KB then looks at everyone appearing mysterious,'' Everyone I want all of you to see my new invention.''
Everyone exchanged a glance , they were also curious about KB's new invention especially Tony he also wanted to see his new invention as he see's KB's mysterious expression , so everyone agreed without hesitation .
As they reached KB's manor they were welcomed by James , KB informed James that he is taking guest in his private lab and he shouldn't be disturbed, hearing what KB said James turned serious and he nodded solemnly.
KB took everyone to his underground basement , their everyone once again entered the elevator to proceed towards his private lab . Everyone couldn't help but become more curious as they followed KB .
The elevator doors slid open with a soft hiss, revealing KB Morgan's private lab. The room was vast, humming with energy, filled with machines that looked less like prototypes and more like visions of the future. Sleek panels glowed faintly, and the air carried a subtle vibration, as if the walls themselves were alive.
Pepper stepped in first, her heels clicking against the polished floor. She glanced around, wide-eyed. "KB… this doesn't look like a lab. It looks like something out of science fiction."
Tony followed, smirking, hands in his pockets. "Relax, Pep. Labs are supposed to look impressive. Let's see if he's got anything that actually works."
KB's sister moved closer to him, her expression warm but cautious. She had seen his brilliance before, but this felt different—bigger, heavier. Natasha lingered at the back, her gaze sharp, every detail catalogued with the precision of a spy. She said nothing, but her silence was louder than words.
KB walked to the center of the room and pressed a panel. With a mechanical rumble, two massive figures emerged from the shadows—towering constructs of steel and light. Their optics flickered to life, casting a golden glow across the lab.
"Meet Optimus Prime," KB said, his voice calm but carrying weight. "And Bumblebee."
Pepper gasped, taking a step back. "They're… they're moving."
Optimus shifted, metal plates sliding with fluid grace, as if the machine were alive. Bumblebee tilted his head, emitting a soft mechanical hum that almost sounded curious.
Tony's smirk faltered. He stepped forward, scanning the constructs with his watch. "No readings. This isn't engineering. This is… something else." He turned to KB, his tone sharper now. "What did you do?"
KB smiled faintly. "I built them to protect, to guide. They are not weapons. They are companions of destiny."
Maria touched his arm , her voice soft but steady;
"You've always been different, KB. But this… this is beyond anything I imagined."
The constructs shifted again, responding to KB's silent command. Optimus lowered himself slightly, almost like a bow. Bumblebee emitted a cheerful pulse of sound, filling the room with warmth.
Pepper whispered, half in awe, half in fear: "They feel… alive."
KB's gaze swept across them all, calm and unshaken. "Science alone cannot shape destiny. But when wisdom and technology walk together… they can protect it."
The room fell silent, the weight of his words settling over them. Natasha's eyes narrowed, Pepper's heart raced, Tony's mind spun, and Maria simply smiled—because she knew her brother was not just building machines. He was building the future.
The lab hummed with quiet energy as the towering figures of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee stood motionless, their optics dimmed but alive. The silence stretched until Tony broke it, his voice sharp with curiosity and challenge.
Tony couldn't help but look at KB with stunned silence and pressed further;
"Alright, Morgan. They look impressive, I'll give you that. But machines don't just move like that. What's the trick? Hydraulics? Advanced servos? Some kind of AI?"
KB smiled faintly, folding his hands behind his back.
"Not a trick. A synthesis. I combined adaptive nanostructures with quantum resonance fields. Their frames aren't just metal—they're lattices that respond to energy patterns, almost like living tissue."
Pepper's eyes widened, her voice hushed;
"Living tissue? KB… are you saying they're alive?"
KB then explains eloquently seeing Pepper's shock;
"Alive in the sense that they can adapt. They learn, they evolve. Their processors aren't coded—they're grown, like neurons. I seeded them with a framework of logic, but they build their own pathways. That's why they move with fluidity, not rigidity."
Tony stepped closer, scanning Bumblebee with his wrist device. His brow furrowed when the readings came back blank, once again;
"No data. It's like they're invisible to my sensors. That's not possible."
"Your sensors look for mechanical signatures. These constructs operate on resonance. Think of it as harmonizing with the fabric of reality. They don't push against physics—they flow with it,'' says KB as he clarify his doubts .
Natasha's voice cut in, cool and precise;
"Flow with reality? That sounds… dangerous. If they can adapt beyond your control, what stops them from turning on us?"
KB looks towards her and explains as why they are different from other machines;
"Wisdom. I didn't build them to dominate. I built them to protect. Their core directive is balance. They respond to dharma—order, justice. They cannot be corrupted by chaos."
Tony scoffed, though his tone carried less confidence now;
"Dharma? You're mixing philosophy with engineering. Machines don't care about balance—they care about code."
KB stepped closer to Optimus, resting a hand on the construct's arm. The machine stirred, optics glowing faintly;
"Code is rigid. Philosophy is fluid. But when you weave them together, you create something greater. Optimus and Bumblebee aren't just machines. They're guardians. They embody the principle that technology must serve destiny, not ego."
Pepper whispered, almost to herself:
"Guardians… not weapons."
Tony stared at KB, his usual smirk gone, replaced by something closer to respect—and unease.
"You're rewriting the rules, Morgan. And I don't know if that makes you a genius… or a threat."
KB's reply was quiet, but carried the weight of certainty:
"Perhaps both. But sometimes, Tony, the world needs a threat to chaos… and a genius to protect it."
....
Everyone had different thoughts as they left KB's manor .
Driving home in his Audi, Tony replayed the lab scene in his mind. The constructs haunted him—machines that moved like living beings, processors that grew like neurons. KB's words echoed:
"They don't push against physics—they flow with it.""They respond to dharma."
Tony scoffed aloud, though there was no one to hear.
"Dharma. Philosophy. Mysticism. And yet… they moved better than any suit I've built."
He tapped the steering wheel, mind racing.
"What if I could integrate adaptive nanostructures into my armor? What if the suit could learn, evolve, anticipate? Not just respond to commands, but resonate with me?"
The idea burned in his mind. KB had shown him something that wasn't just science—it was a challenge. Stark hated being outclassed, but he thrived on competition.
By the time he reached his Malibu home, Tony had already sketched the beginnings of a new design in his head.
"Resonance fields… adaptive frames… fine. Let's see if I can rewrite the rules too."
Later that night, Natasha sat alone in her safehouse apartment. The glow of her laptop lit her face as she typed a secure transmission to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Subject: Morgan Lab – Observation Report KB Morgan introduced two constructs: "Optimus Prime" and "Bumblebee." They are not conventional machines. Adaptive nanostructures, quantum resonance fields—terms he used suggest technology beyond Stark Industries current capabilities. They appear responsive, fluid, almost alive. KB claims they are guided by "dharma" and cannot be corrupted. This is philosophy woven into engineering. Assessment: Potential asset, potential threat. Recommend surveillance. If compromised, these constructs could rival Stark's suits or surpass them. KB himself is calm, deliberate, and confident. He believes he is building guardians, not weapons. Conclusion: Monitor closely. Do not underestimate.
She paused, fingers hovering over the keyboard. For a moment, she thought of the way Bumblebee had tilted its head, almost curious, almost human. Natasha shook her head and hit send.
The city was quiet, but KB Morgan sat at his desk, pen scratching across the pages of a golden book with pattern of peacock feathered bound diary
His words carried the weight of cosmic certainty;
"Tonight, I felt the Captain awaken. His spirit stirs, the karmic river shifts. The shield will rise again, not only against enemies but against the chaos spreading unseen. Destiny is aligning. The age of heroes is necessity, not chance."
He closed the diary gently, leaving it on the desk before retreating into the shadows of his lab.
....
The old gym smelled of dust and rust. Broken weights lay scattered across the cracked floor, and the faint creak of the roof echoed with every gust of wind. Nick Fury sat alone on a splintered bench, his trench coat pulled tight, a cap shadowing his face. To anyone passing by, he looked like just another drifter killing time in a forgotten building.
But in his hands was KB Morgan's diary.
Fury flipped through the pages, his single eye narrowing as he read the neat, deliberate handwriting.
As he finished reading his diary , fury muttered under his breadth ,voice low and gravelly ;
''I don't know what future behold for us .''
