Chapter 12 - Martial Arts Teaching!

Chapter 12: Martial Arts Teaching! The Miserable Xia Liu!

After a breakfast that lingered on the tongue like a sweet memory, Su Wanqing, the busy chairwoman of Modu's Jinxiu Mingcha Company, finally left for work. Her luxury sedan glided out of the driveway, leaving the villa quiet.

However, since it was the May Day holiday, Su Hongmian didn't have to go to university for classes.

"Hmph, you think you're so great?" Su Hongmian muttered, eyeing Shen Anyu as she bounded up the stairs. "Just wait."

A few minutes later, she reappeared. Su Hongmian had tied her long, silky hair into a high, energetic ponytail that swung with her steps. She had changed into a pure white karate gi, the crisp fabric stark against her fair skin. The wide belt cinched her slender waist, emphasizing her curves even in the loose uniform. She looked like a valiant warrior princess, ready to conquer.

"I'm going to the dojo to train," she announced, lifting her chin.

Shen Anyu leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed, his eyes filled with appreciation as they swept over her form. The white gi made her look pure and sharp, a deadly lily.

Su Hongmian noticed Shen Anyu's intense gaze. A flush crept up her neck, but she didn't back down. She waved her fair little fists at him, huffing, "I'm really strong, you know. Even my female instructor said that two or three average adult men are no match for me. If anyone dares to bully me, I'll knock him out with one punch!"

She punched the air for emphasis, the motion fluid and practiced.

Shen Anyu chuckled mischievously, his eyes twinkling. "Then why don't you hit me? I've bullied you terribly, haven't I?"

He took a step closer, his voice dropping to a teasing whisper. "Could it be that you like me? And you like being bullied by me?"

"You...!"

Su Hongmian's pretty face flushed a deep crimson, instantly dismantling her warrior facade. She stomped her foot, glaring at him. "I don't like you at all! I'm only not hitting you because you made such a delicious breakfast. Otherwise, I'd definitely hit you and give you two black eyes! You'd look like a panda!"

As she spoke, perhaps imagining the invincible Young Master Shen with two comical black eyes, Su Hongmian let out a silvery laugh, covering her mouth.

Shen Anyu's gaze swept over Su Hongmian's long legs, hidden beneath the wide trousers of the gi but still hinting at their 1.2-meter glory. A playful glint flashed in his eyes.

He suddenly said, "What's so good about learning flowery moves like karate? It's all show and no substance."

"Hey! Karate is practical!" Su Hongmian protested.

"Why don't I teach you something real?" Shen Anyu interrupted, his voice low and captivating. "Yanxia Kung Fu!"

Upon hearing this, Su Hongmian couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. The legends of true Yanxia Kung Fu were woven into the culture, stories of flying over roofs and walking on walls. But her pride wouldn't let her admit it immediately.

She merely snorted, crossing her arms. "Then you'll have to beat me first."

Shen Anyu looked at Su Hongmian with a half-smile, the corners of his lips curling up. "How about we make a bet?"

"What kind of bet?" Su Hongmian became curious despite herself, her eyes widening.

Shen Anyu smiled mischievously, stepping into her personal space. "If you win, I'll promise to do one thing for you. Anything you ask."

Su Hongmian's heart skipped a beat. Anything?

"But if I win," Shen Anyu continued, his voice dropping to a husky whisper that sent shivers down her spine, "then you'll do one thing for me."

"How about it?"

Su Hongmian's little face flushed hot. She looked at his handsome face, the playful yet predatory glint in his eyes.

Before yesterday, she didn't know what kind of person the man in front of her was. But last night... last night she found out.

He was utterly wicked!

Su Hongmian glared at Shen Anyu hatefully, trying to summon her courage. "Fine! Later, I'm going to beat you to death! Really, I'm definitely going to beat you to death!"

She gnashed her silver teeth, crouching slightly as if about to pounce and punch him right there.

Shen Anyu burst into laughter, teasing, "Wasn't that treatment last night to cure your illness? You had a deficiency that needed... vigorous treatment. Now you're as fierce as a tiger and in great health. Aren't you grateful to me, your savior?"

"I'll kill you!" Su Hongmian's shame and anger exploded. She waved her tender little fists and swung them at Shen Anyu, chasing him down the hall.

...

[Meanwhile, at the Detention Center]

In a cramped, damp eight-person cell, a man crouched in the corner, looking at the sliver of sun outside the small iron window. Silent tears streamed down his face, leaving tracks in the grime.

"Grandpa... why am I so miserable? The big city is so scary..."

Xia Liu's mentality had completely collapsed after repeated interrogations. He was huddled in a fetal position, shivering not from cold, but from despair.

Originally, he thought that with his incredible medical skills, he would surely be able to make a big impact in a big city like Modu. He imagined groups of important figures and beautiful women surrounding him, praising him, begging him, spending vast sums without hesitation just to ask for his medical treatment.

Life couldn't be more comfortable in his dreams.

However, reality was a cruel mistress. On his very first day in Modu, before he even had a chance to reunite with his fiancée, Qin Ningbing, he was locked up in the detention center for practicing medicine without a license and sexual harassment.

Getting out was a distant dream! The walls were high, the guards were cold, and his silver needles had been confiscated.

Xia Liu's eyes welled up with tears again! Tears welled up and dripped onto the concrete floor.

"Hmph! I'll definitely get out. I, Xia Liu, am a divine doctor! This place can't hold me forever!"

He wiped his nose on his sleeve, trying to rally his spirit. "When I get out, I'll live a life of luxury, marry several beautiful wives, and live a wonderful life! This is just a small setback. No fear, no fear!"

Xia Liu cheered himself on, his mind drifting to better things. He recalled Su Hongmian, the leggy beauty he had met yesterday. A lewd and perverted smile crept onto his face, dispelling his misery for a moment.

"That long-legged beauty yesterday was absolutely gorgeous... simply the most beautiful woman in the world!"

He closed his eyes, visualizing her. "Especially those long legs... tsk tsk, simply amazing! Wrapped around my waist, I don't know how wonderful that would be!"

"I must marry her and have several children!"

"Oh right," his eyes snapped open, gleaming with opportunity. "She also has an illness. A critical illness, a deficiency from birth, a problem from her mother's womb. Those quack Western doctors, let alone treating it, couldn't even detect it!"

"Only I, the divine doctor Xia Liu, can save her!"

He cackled softly in the gloom. "If she wants to live, she can't help but rely on me, beg me! At that time... hehehe..."

Seemingly imagining some wonderful scene of her gratitude, Xia Liu even drooled, a string of saliva hanging from his lip.

...

[On the other side, in the Su family Villa]

The "dojo" was a large, empty room on the second floor with polished wooden floors and mirrors lining one wall. This was where Su Hongmian practiced dancing as a child and later practiced karate.

At this moment, Shen Anyu and Su Hongmian stood facing each other in the center of the room. Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air.

After some playful bickering that served as a warm-up, the extremely angry Su Hongmian decided to teach Shen Anyu a good lesson using karate.

She would give him two black eyes! She would show him she wasn't just a delicate flower!

"Hmph!"

Su Hongmian gnashed her silver teeth, her pretty face looking displeased and serious as she faced Shen Anyu. She assumed a fighting stance, her feet planted firmly, hands raised.

Shen Anyu, however, wore a faint, infuriating smile. He stood casually, hands by his sides, looking completely defenseless. His gaze swept over the tall, alluringly-legged Su Hongmian in her white gi, appreciating the view rather than assessing the threat.

"Come on," he said leisurely, beckoning with one finger. "I'll let you have a few moves. Otherwise, if I make a move first, you'll have no room to resist!"

"Arrogant!" Su Hongmian shouted. "I'm going to make you beg for mercy and give you two black eyes!"

Recalling the scene last night where she repeatedly begged for mercy, yet Shen Anyu showed no pity, Su Hongmian's anger flared up again like a lit fuse.

"Hah!"

Su Hongmian let out a soft cry, pushing off her back foot. She threw a powerful straight punch with her back hand.

Whoosh!

It was fast and strong; the air whistled slightly. An average adult man would likely be knocked directly to the ground by it, winded and bruised.

However, Shen Anyu keenly noticed that Su Hongmian's punch was aimed at his shoulder, not his eyes or other vital points as she had threatened.

'This girl,' he thought, his smile widening. 'She's still tough-mouthed but soft-hearted.'

Shen Anyu shook his head and chuckled softly. He didn't even raise his hands. With a slight shift of his feet—a movement so subtle it was almost imperceptible—he narrowly avoided Su Hongmian's heavy punch. Her fist grazed his shirt, hitting nothing but air.

"Hmph!" Su Hongmian snorted lightly, not admitting defeat. She pivoted, using her momentum to launch a flurry of attacks. Heavy punches, knife-hand chops, swift kicks... she attacked Shen Anyu with everything she had.

Bam! Swish! Pow!

She moved with grace and power, her ponytail whipping around like a lash.

Eventually, in her desperation to land a single hit, she even resorted to knee strikes, aiming for his midsection.

But she still didn't touch a single corner of Shen Anyu's clothes.

Shen Anyu moved with ease, like a ghost or a leaf in the wind. He casually shifted his feet, swaying his upper body just enough to evade Su Hongmian's attacks. He looked like he was taking a stroll in the park, not fighting a black belt.

"You can't use knee strikes carelessly," he teased, dodging a sharp knee. "Luckily, I'm capable. Otherwise, if you hit the wrong spot... you'd be a young widow before you're even married!"

With his current Martial Arts Grandmaster level cultivation, and various top-tier fighting techniques like Tai Chi and the Golden Goose Lightness Skill acquired through lucky draws, Su Hongmian's movements looked like they were in slow motion to him.

How could Su Hongmian, who hadn't even reached the Mortal peak, possibly touch him?

Su Hongmian was panting heavily now, sweat glistening on her forehead, strands of hair sticking to her cheeks. Her chest heaved with exertion, but her eyes were burning with stubbornness.

"Alright," Shen Anyu said suddenly, his voice dropping an octave. "I've let you have dozens of moves. Now it's my turn!"

Shen Anyu moved.

It wasn't fast, or violent. It was a casual move, completely without any trace of effort, like a gracefully unfolding white crane. He stepped inside her guard, ignoring her raised arms.

Su Hongmian gasped as the world spun.

Before she knew what was happening, she was pulled directly into his embrace. His arms were like steel bands, dismantling all her resistance instantly.

"Ah!"

Su Hongmian felt the warm large hand gripping her slender waist through the thick fabric of the gi. Her back was pressed against his chest, her feet lifted slightly off the ground. Her pretty face flushed with embarrassment, and she tried to struggle, kicking her legs.

"Let me go! You cheat!"

Shen Anyu's lips curved into a mischievous smile, his breath hot against her ear.

"You've been fighting for so long, you must be tired," he whispered, his voice vibrating through her. "Relax, relax."
