Chapter 54 - A beacon of hope

The Council session was held in the largest meeting hall available, because the original chambers couldn't accommodate all the wolves who wanted to attend. The fifteen Council members sat at the front, with Alpha Thorne and his supporters on one side, our allies on the other, and hundreds of observers filling every available space.

Alpha Brennan called the session to order with visible strain. "This is highly irregular," he said, looking at the packed hall. "But given the public nature of recent events, we're allowing observers."

"We're here to address serious charges," another Council member continued. "The Nightshade Pack released a public statement that violated the terms of their provisional status, made accusations against Alpha Thorne without proper evidence, and incited other packs to disregard Council authority."

"We didn't incite anything," Ezra said firmly. "We told our truth. What others chose to do with that information was their decision."
