Julian saw Rowan finally stop and thought his chance had come. Honestly, he had never seen an Omegina so persistent; even he felt tired walking.
"Tired? Have you thought about it? Coming back with me?"
"Get out of the way, don't block the path." Rowan saw a small cave ahead; perhaps they could stop to rest.
He didn't know where this was; he could only pray that Owen could find him.
Owen realized it was getting dark, so he gathered his things and hurried back. By now, Rowan must have finished cooking and was waiting for him. Thinking of this, his mood improved significantly.
When Owen returned to the cave and saw ferns scattered everywhere, a bad feeling rose in his heart. He threw down his things and ran into the cave to search.
Turning the whole cave upside down, he couldn't find Rowan anywhere. This time, he was strangely calm, transforming into his beast form and flying down the cliff to search.
Still nothing.
