Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: The Coil of Warmth

"It won't stay this cold forever, will it?" Rowan sat on the stone bed, revealing only his head. His limbs were wrapped in fur blankets, and he shifted positions every so often. Sitting for too long made his legs numb, but he didn't want to just lie down forever.

"No, once this phase passes, it will be fine." Owen took out another fur blanket and covered his partner.

"Too heavy, pull it to the side a bit." Each fur blanket was thick and heavy. Rowan felt that adding another one would crush him so he couldn't sit up, though it was undeniably warm.

Owen looked at his partner, wrapped up like a giant snowball, and felt much more reassured. Fortunately, they were fully prepared. If his partner unfortunately caught a cold, there was almost no chance of survival in the Snow Season.

Recently, he didn't want to move either, but his partner couldn't go hungry or cold, so he could only force himself to take good care of Rowan.
