The two individuals continued to exist in a state of mutual, unspoken understanding as they lived together for a period of time; each of them found themselves thoroughly enjoying the arrangement.
Recently, Owen had been persistently clinging to Rowan within the confines of the cave, intent on fully enjoying the private time shared between the two of them. Whenever the desire to go hunting arose, they would head towards Swan Lake. During the Sprouting Season, there was quite a significant number of prey animals that came here to drink water, so there was no need to worry about a shortage of food.
Rowan also possessed a fondness for coming to this location to wash his body or soak himself in the water. Every single time he did so, Owen would be compelled to stand guard right by his side, absolutely refusing to allow a single beast to approach and disturb him.
