Rowan used his strength to pry Owen's large snake tail off his body, rescuing himself, and took a deep breath to regain some air.

The large snake seemed to sense something and woke up. Before its eyelids even opened, it habitually wrapped its tail tightly around the Omegina again, giving a light, possessive squeeze, and flicked its snake tongue to lick a tuft of hair that was standing up from sleep.

Rowan, expressionless, covered that snake tongue, his hand getting covered in saliva: "You sleep a bit longer; I'm getting up first."

For the first time, he felt a bit of failure; he was unexpectedly not as skilled as Owen at these meticulous tasks. The disparity between his combat power and his housekeeping skills made him feel a bit unwilling to accept defeat.

Owen maintained that posture and shifted back into human form, his firm arms embracing the Omegina, burying his head in Rowan's neck to wake himself up. The hot breath blowing against his skin made Rowan shudder slightly.
