A few days later, a student came to Anthony with parental consent. Wanted to adopt a cat. Anthony pulled the rescue center questionnaire from his drawer. Studied it with him.

"Name, age... give me the consent form. We'll fill in your parents?"

The student nodded. Filled in his mother's name on the form. "Next item—occupation. My mum's a Healer at St. Mungo's."

Anthony said, "Perfect. Put medical worker."

"Okay." The student lowered his head. Scribbled a few more strokes. "Living conditions..."

Anthony took the questionnaire. Looked it over. Because directly asking salary wasn't convenient, the form tactfully asked what living conditions prospective adopters could provide pets.

"Spacious activity area," Anthony said. "Absolutely sufficient food. Rich exploration content. Relatively ample companionship time. Also provide opportunities for pets to interact and play with others of their kind..."

The student said, "Ah... okay."

Anthony said, "If you don't mind, you can also write your family situation. I remember you have a graduated older brother? You could write 'harmonious family, eldest son independently working, second son studying' to show very stable life... what's next?"

"Pet preferences."

"I won't interfere with this one. Write what you want," Anthony said. Watched the student write furiously. "Wait, don't write Professor McGonagall. Just write tabby cat..."

"But I also hope she's smart and clever," the student said.

Anthony said, "Then write smart, clever tabby cat. You really don't mind Hufflepuff losing more points?"

Anthony registered his pet adoption intention. Put away the completed questionnaire. Planned to contact Ms. Howard in a few days.

"The rescue center might contact applicants. Want to chat face-to-face. As I understand, this is a trust-based rescue center," Anthony said. "They won't ask your specific address. But if you tell the rescue center you live year-round in London, approval probability increases considerably."

"I don't live year-round in London," the student said puzzled.

Anthony nodded. "But your mum works at St. Mungo's. The pet adoption applicant is her."

The student sighed. "Why so troublesome? Will they want to chat with my mum? She can say five magical terms in three sentences."

Anthony said, "No problem. I can probably convince the rescue center to chat with you instead."

He could already think of many arguments: medical workers too busy to leave temporarily, adoption mainly to accompany child, child will be future primary caretaker, etc.

Based on Ms. Howard's attitude during last visit, she quite liked these students.

"So you need to prepare," Anthony said. "Once we submit the adoption intention questionnaire, the rescue center might hope we organize an interview. If all goes well, I'll arrange time during holidays. Won't clash with class schedules or exams. But besides reviewing lessons, preparing final exams, you also need to prepare for the rescue center interview."

"Professor, stop mentioning studying and final exams..." the student groaned. "I still have several essays unfinished..."

Anthony smiled. "Keep at it."

"Fine. For my cat, I'm willing!" the student said. "What do I need to prepare, Professor?"

Anthony flipped through his lesson plans. Found a parchment tucked inside. "I listed questions you might be asked. The back has relevant Muggle knowledge. Based on your class performance, I guessed these questions might be somewhat difficult for wizards. So I summarized part of it for everyone."

For wizards, they might not think of things like deworming, vaccines. Would forget how to ensure their pets don't disturb neighbors. Not to mention they absolutely didn't understand various Muggle cat foods.

"Geminio." Anthony tapped the parchment. Handed the created copy to the student staring eagerly. "Here. Any questions, come find me. If I'm not here, either leave a note or have an owl send me a message."

"Okay. I'll prepare well," the other quickly scanned the parchment. "Thank you, Professor Anthony."

"You're welcome."

This student put the parchment in his bag. Left with heavy steps. As if he suddenly knew he had one more exam. An exam he must pass.

Anthony smiled. If this student could really prepare everything on his parchment, he could definitely try disguising himself to blend into Muggle society in the future. In fact, he didn't need to know that much information... If he could persist until the interview came, Anthony planned to give him a universal sentence.

Whether asked what to do if a cat scratched someone, or how to handle various diseases cats might contract, he only needed to scratch his head. Then smile cheerfully: "I don't know. I guess I'd ask more professional adults to solve this."

Five students total brought parental consent forms that day. Including the Weasley brothers. They said they should've been earliest to get consent. Because Molly Weasley almost immediately agreed.

"But Errol is really too old," Fred said. "It rested at least five times midway before bringing this note saying 'no problem.'"

George said, "You probably see why we want an owl so badly?" He noticed Anthony staring at a slightly odd mark in the consent form's lower right corner. "Oh, that's because Errol crashed into Fred's pumpkin juice."

Anthony nodded. "I understand."

Because of the special nature of the "pet" they wanted to adopt, Anthony couldn't guarantee the rescue center would definitely agree. But he'd asked Professor McGonagall where the school owlery's public owls came from. If Muggles concerned about birds noticed many owls flying this way, hard to imagine why they hadn't discovered a strange school here by now.

"Because Hogwarts is Unplottable," Professor McGonagall told him. "Additionally, thirty miles around the castle belongs to Hogwarts. We designated a portion. Registered with some Muggle organizations as owl habitat and conservation area."

Anthony's goal was proving the Weasley brothers worked and studied in this "conservation area." Bring that owl to Scotland as compliantly as possible.
