Chapter 16 – Nami Steals the Ship
[MC POV]
The pirates circled around me from every side. One of them stepped forward and tried to sound confident as he spoke, "Listen up, boy. If you surrender quietly, we won't have to hurt you. Don't worry, Alvida-sama will treat you well. I've never seen her attracted to someone like this before. I'm honestly jealous."
I didn't bother answering. Instead, I stepped in and drove my fist straight into his jaw, snapping it with a clean crack.
"Damn you! We were trying to be nice, but you forced this on us!"
They rushed me in anger, but none of them dared use swords or guns. They tried fighting me barehanded. They were afraid that if they disfigured or killed me then Alvida will kill them.
Every idiot who got close received a jab directly to the face. One pirate sneaked up behind me and wrapped his arm around my neck.
"I've got you! Surrender unless you want me to snap your neck!"
"You moron."
I stomped hard on his foot. His grip loosened instantly. I spun around and kicked him right between the legs. He collapsed onto the deck with tears rolling from his eyes.
"Don't grab my neck again. I hate that."
"AAAAAA!"
Lily's scream echoed behind me just as I finished off the last pirate. I turned around to see what was happening.
Lily was sprinting across the deck with a ridiculous expression of terror on her face while Alvida was chasing after her. She was swinging a sword wildly, trying to kill Lily.
"Come back here and fight!"
The chase continued across the deck until Lily's hand snagged on the mast. But instead of stopping, her arm stretched, letting her keep running.
Alvida froze as she was stunned this bizarre scene.
'This rubber girl… What is she trying to pull?'
Lily smirked back at her. "Gomu Gomu no Rocket!" Her stretched arm snapped back, hurling her forward like a bullet.
She slammed into Alvida, but Lily's rubber body simply slipped right off her slippery skin.
Lily rolled, jumped up, and started running again with Alvida roaring behind her. Then Lily looked at me with sparkling eyes and rushed over.
"Alex, can't you do something about her!?"
Before I could answer, an idea seemed to hit her. She grinned, spun around, and kicked the sword out of Alvida's hand. Then she spread her fingers wide, weaving them like a net. She stretched her rubber fingers even wider and lunged forward.
"Gomu Gomu no Net!"
"Shishishi… I got you!"
Lily laughed proudly—only for her smile to vanish a moment later. Alvida twisted her body and slipped right through the rubber net.
The two of them continued fighting, but neither could do any real damage. Lily's body was rubber, so no matter how many times Alvida struck her, she shrugged it off without a scratch. And because Alvida's skin was so smooth and slippery, Lily couldn't land a solid hit either.
'This fight won't end if they keep going like this.'
I was trying to figure out how to deal with Alvida. But before I could come up with a plan, a cannonball slammed into the ship.
Alvida immediately turned away from Lily and looked toward the source. A navy ship was approaching fast.
"We're ending this fight here."
She kicked one of her unconscious crew members to wake him. The pirate jolted awake, saw her new appearance, and scowled without recognizing her.
"Bitch, how dare you kick me—"
"Who did you call a bitch?"
Alvida snapped. She kicked him straight in the neck, snapping it in one brutal strike. The pirate collapsed onto the deck, dead within moments.

"Lily, we need to get back to the ship. Hurry!"
I rushed toward her and grabbed her arm, pulling her in the direction where I had left my ship earlier.
But when I looked out over the sea, my expression froze. The ship was already about two hundred meters away, drifting farther with every passing second.
'System… you're the one controlling the ship. Why didn't you bring it closer!?' I asked in disbelief.
[Dear host, your ship has been stolen]
"…You've got to be kidding me!!"
Before I could think of a solution, Lily stretched both of her hands toward Alvida's ship and grabbed the railing. The rubber in her arms pulled taut as she shouted, "Alex, grab onto me!"
I immediately understood what she intended to do. It was reckless, but we had no other option. I wrapped my arms around her and held on tight, ready for whatever came next.
She launched us in the air using her rubber hands, and we were flung high into the sky at a terrifying speed.
The world blurred beneath us as we hurtled through the air.
As for Alvida we left her at the ship to deal with marines.
No matter how beautiful she had become after eating devil fruit, I just couldn't get off her fat and ugly image of my head. I even ignored the Lust energy that I could off her.
'I hope I don't see her again.'

Nami was sitting cross-legged on the deck, a satisfied grin spreading across her face as she counted the piles of money and gold she had stolen. Her eyes practically sparkled with Berry marks as she admired her loot.
"I really hit the jackpot today," she murmured to herself. "Not only did I rob those pirates clean, but I even managed to swipe this beautifully designed ship. If I sell it… I could make a fortune."
"AAAAAAAAAAA!"
While she was happily admiring her earnings, a loud scream echoed in the distance. The voice grew closer… fast.
Nami looked toward the source, and her jaw dropped. Two people were flying straight at her. For a moment, I could tell she thought she must be hallucinating.
After all, no normal person could fly like that. But the more they approached, the more terrified she became. She quickly made the smartest decision possible—she jumped out of the way.
A moment later, Lily and I slammed into the deck exactly where she had been standing.
I hit the planks and immediately slipped across the deck, sliding all the way to the mast and grabbing it desperately to avoid falling into the sea.
Lily's body rebounded off the impact and launched straight over the railing, splashing loudly into the water below.
"Damn… I'm never doing that again until I get a lot stronger."
'Where's Lily?' I looked around in confusion. She was nowhere in sight. The only person was Nami, who was staring at me with her wide eyes.

I cursed internally and sprinted toward the railing Nami had pointed at earlier. Without hesitation, I dove straight into the sea.
'I hope Lily doesn't drown in the sea.'
"It's perfect that he jumped on their own. Saves me the trouble of tricking them."
Nami said with a cheerful grin as she hurried to adjust the sails and align the ship with the wind, hoping to gain more speed.
After that, she began searching the interior of the ship for anything valuable. But her excitement quickly faded. There was no gold, no money, not even a single treasure worth stealing. The only thing she found was a beach chair.
With a sigh, she dragged it onto the deck, deciding that she might as well relax and enjoy some sunbathing.
She began undressing to change into a bikini—until a wet hand suddenly grabbed the railing. Nami flinched and quickly threw her shirt back on. She couldn't risk showing the tattoo that marked her as a member of the Arlong Pirates.
I climbed over the railing with water dripping off my entire body, Lily draped over one shoulder. The moment my feet touched the deck, I gently dropped Lily onto the planks and doubled over, breathing heavily.
Saltwater had filled my lungs. My arms burned. But at least I had dragged Lily back alive.
Lily had terrified expressions as she repeated the same words over and over.
"I almost died… I almost died… I almost died."
I walked up to Lily first and tried to calm her down, placing a hand on her shoulder. I was making sure that she could breathe properly again.
After taking care of Lily, I walked toward Nami. My expression hardened along the way, and irritation tightened my jaw.
