Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - The Ahkasha System

Even though I said that, I still feel weird because the memories of my previous life and the current one are mixed.

I stopped looking at myself in the mirror and walked back to the room where I woke up.

"It seems I am in South Korea."

After reviewing the new set of memories in my mind, I realized that I wasn't in the United States, but in South Korea.

Why?

According to my memories, I had come on vacation to South Korea and liked it so much that I had decided to stay for a while.

Rich people stuff, I guess.

Luckily, in this life, I have quite a lot of money.

Although still insufficient for everything I need to do.

I'll leave that topic for later.

First things first.

It is time to try to move my mana flow.

If I want to recover my power, or even surpass it, I must start as soon as possible.

Hard work always pays off.

Success doesn't come knocking on the door; you have to build the ladder, climb it, and open that door yourself.

This was the first step to becoming the Sorcerer King Kuratauras again.

No.

This time it would be the Sorcerer King Liam Abernathy.

It would be stupid to use that horrible name again when I never liked it.

Feeling and moving my mana flow was very different from the web novels everyone is used to reading.

I didn't sit on the floor with my legs crossed and my hands on my stomach.

I didn't need to do anything like that.

In the middle of the room, standing up, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and concentrated.

I couldn't call myself the Sorcerer King if I hadn't been able to feel my mana instantly.

My mana was flowing without any problem throughout my body.

And the next second, a blinding light, the product of my awakening, exploded around me.

The sensation was warm and comforting.

I felt like the first time I did it, excited.

And I mean the first time I felt my mana, don't misunderstand my words.

But unlike the first time...

<< ESTABLISHING CONNECTION WITH THE AHKASHA SYSTEM >>

Hm?

That certainly shouldn't be there.

<< COMMENCING AWAKENING >>

<< WELCOME, PLAYER LIAM ABERNATHY. FROM NOW ON, YOU ARE AN AWAKENED >>

"I even have a system? Now at least I can confirm my suspicions. I am sure that my soul was transported by something or someone to this world."

My reincarnation magic should have made me reincarnate in the same world where I died, not transport me to another.

I had suspected that my soul was taken by some higher entity since I realized I was in Solo Leveling.

But to even have a system...

"I don't know who you are, but thanks for your help!" I exclaimed to the air, looking at the ceiling.

I had no way of finding out who or what it had been, so I didn't give it any importance for the moment, although I will undoubtedly find out in the future.

I quickly checked the Ahkasha System and... Damn it, it's like a video game!

Video games... it had been so long since I played one.

I, who was a video game lover who used all his free time to play, had been hundreds of years without doing so.

I had tried to create my own game before, but I was an IT specialist, not a programmer.

The most I could achieve was creating a board to play Ludo...

And it was very difficult to play Ludo with a single player!

Although I was the Sorcerer King Kuratauras, I used to be a very lonely guy.

But anyway, focusing again on the Ahkasha System...

"Hmm. I suppose with the power system that exists, I am what this world knows as an E-Rank Hunter."

But not having a job...

It hurts not to be recognized as a sorcerer yet.

But seriously, a single mana point?

I understand, I just moved my mana flow for the first time, this is normal.

But taking into account the power system of this world, which focuses entirely on mana...

The more mana an individual has, the stronger their body is, which results in a higher Rank.

At this moment, it could be said that I am the Weakest Hunter in the World, along with Sung Jin-Woo.

"With so little mana I can barely cast a couple of Level 1 spells."

Maintaining mana control while I move shouldn't be difficult for me to do despite my state.

Therefore, I decided to start gathering mana, even if just a little, since one never knows what might happen.

What would happen if a dungeon break suddenly occurred near me?

I would be surrounded by monsters and without power to defend myself.

Therefore, I closed my eyes again and concentrated on gathering mana in my heart.

It wasn't that complicated. I had done it hundreds of thousands of times in the past.

Gathering a small amount of mana to form my first magic circle and become a mage was not complicated.

<< YOU HAVE ACQUIRED A SKILL >>

<< SKILL ACQUIRED - MAGIC >>

<< YOU HAVE ACQUIRED A NEW JOB >>

<< JOB ACQUIRED - APPRENTICE MAGE >>

I couldn't help but sigh with frustration.

Apprentice Mage? Seriously?

Once again I have received a hard blow to my pride.

That I, the Sorcerer King, be called Apprentice Mage...

It must be true, that saying that the higher you are, the harder the fall...

I decided to equip [Apprentice Mage] as my job, despite the pain I felt doing so.

I suppose it was better than nothing.

Even so, I didn't stop gathering mana in my heart.

And soon, I began to receive several notifications...

<< MANA STAT HAS INCREASED BY 0.01 PERMANENTLY >>

<< MANA STAT HAS INCREASED BY 0.01 PERMANENTLY >>

<< MANA STAT HAS INCREASED... >>

<< MANA STAT HAS INCREASED... >>

<< MANA STAT HAS INCREASED... >>

I ignored the notifications while I felt my mana increasing.

Unfortunately, this rate of growth would not be maintained for long.

In just a few hours, it would stop increasing at this speed, but at least I would have enough mana to defend myself.

"Well... Should I go to the Hunter Association to register as one?"

At this moment, what I need most are Essence Stones, and I can only obtain them inside a Gate.

Essence Stones are small glowing stones found inside the corpses of magic beasts.

They should be the same as the Magic Stones I am used to, which are also extracted from inside monsters.

Since I don't have much mana right now, I can only depend on them to extract the magic inside them and make it mine.

"Or I can also buy an E-Rank Gate on my own."

I thought about it for a few moments.

Could I buy an E-Rank Gate without being a Hunter?

The answer was obviously no.

"I can also steal one. They are everywhere, after all."

A small smile appeared on my face thinking about that.

Why would I become a Hunter being a simple E-Rank?

Wouldn't it be much cooler to become a Hunter already being an S-Rank?

Without hesitating any longer, I quickly searched on my phone for the nearest E-Rank Gate.

I feel sorry for the Hunters Guild of Choi Jong-In, but today they are going to get an E-Rank Gate stolen.

"Meh, I'm sure they have enough money to not complain about a gate being stolen."
