The beast, without wasting another second, lunged at Ethen, but he managed to block it with his sword and with the help of his attribute [Future Sight], which allowed him to see ten seconds into the future.
However, the force of the attack was so great that it made him take a couple of steps backward.
"Ah...damn it!"
There was an opening in the beast's defence, so Ethen got a hit at the hideous beast, but it didn't even scratch it.
"What hell even is this thing!?"
The beast again charged at Ethen its antlers trying to pierce Ethen's chest.
Ethen doaged again using his attribute..
"How do I kill- wait, no, what even are you thinking idiot? Forget about killing this monster, I will not even scratch it once before dying think of a way to escape here in one piece"
It was a vicious cycle, the beast would attack, then Ethen would doage it over and over again...
"This has gone on for too long. I have reached a dead end. I have one plan left for this exact situation."
The beast stared at Ethen for some time and opened its maw, drooling a lot of saliva. It probably thought that it had caught its prey.
"Come on, big boy, try to get a bite of me..."
The beast began charging for its last attack, or so it thought.
As soon as the creature attacked, Ethen rolled towards the side. The stone surface did hurt his back, but it was better than having his heart ripped out of his chest.
The beast's enormous antlers got stuck on the side of the cave. Taking this chance, Ethen ran for his life and didn't look back. While running, he stumbled and fell down due to hitting trees, as he couldn't see anything at the now.
He ran...and ran until his legs felt like they would fall off.
"Huff.... huff... there... no was it...is going to catch up right?"
Then Ethen heard the familiar sound of walking the noise of the hoves that the beast produced...
Ethen wanted to run away even further into the woods, but his fight, flight, and freeze response kicked in. Instead of fighting, he just stood there in horror as the sound of the hove became louder and louder...
And now Ethen couldn't do anything as there was an impenetrable wall of darkness that covered everything around him.
Now he could feel his imminent death coming towards him slowly...
He tried to use his skill but it won't work he was too tired to use it anymore so...this was it...
It was then the beast lunged at him from an unknown direction piercing his chest in an instant but it didn't stab his heart it wanted him to die a slow, painful and gruesome death.
His whole body was trembling as his mouth spilled blood the monster began to drink the falling blood with its mouth still salivating.
"Is..this the end?...it hurts really bad....just kill me already...."
Then a familiar sound came in his ear, and it felt as if it was screaming directly in his brain, making his whole head, which was already in pain, way worse.
After sometime..He couldn't stand the bleeding, pain, and the constant noise that made his brain feel like it would explode, and he slowly went unconscious, but before his eyes were fully shut, there was a thunderous roaring sound that came from above, and that is it....
