Chapter 18 - Chapter Fifteen The Temptation of the nail!

When Angron stepped onto the earth again, the scent of blood and gunpowder on the ground caused him to frown deeply. Gell and a group of Space Marines guarded him. Angron looked upon the devastation inside the Hive City.

The War Hounds who had fallen to the ground retreated again and again. They continuously struggled against the Slave Master's army while shouting for freedom.

Angron hid his emotions, but the System AI detected the emotions flowing through Angron's brain, absorbing them continuously like a persistent haze.

"For Angron!!!!"

Angron looked up and saw a Gladiator on a wall shouting Angron's name loudly. He was clinging tightly to several High Knights as they fell from the towering wall. The sound of a heavy object hitting the ground did not ring out; instead, a massive firework rose into the sky.

Angron's gaze was deeply sorrowful. He took a deep breath, panting slightly.

The sight of those familiar faces lying on the ground made his breathing exceptionally heavy.

[Do you want to know how I pulled you out of the slaughterhouse?]

The System AI's cold voice rang out. In fact, this was the first time Angron had felt the nail's voice completely devoid of warmth.

Before this, Angron could sense the nail's emotions.

It had temperature.

[Do you want to know the potential of this body of yours?]

The System AI's words were like the whispers of a demon. Angron took a deep breath, smiled, and nodded his head.

"Of course."

"What?"

Gell watched Angron's self-talk. He was very worried about my father's mental state. He did not know what kind of suffering Angron had endured, but judging from his current condition, Angron's mental state required a doctor.

"Gell."

Angron held out his hand.

"my father!"

Gell stepped forward.

"Lend me the axe at your waist."

Upon hearing this, Gell immediately handed the power axe at his waist to Angron.

The next second, Gell saw Angron roll his eyes.

"?????"

"Father!"

Before Gell could figure out what was happening, the System AI pushed him away.

At this moment, Gell felt that Angron was completely unlike a person; he was more like... a cold machine.

And Angron was not feeling particularly well right now. This was the first time he had been controlled by the System AI while fully conscious. He felt as if he were watching a first-person movie.

[Our synchronization rate is frighteningly low. I think you should take me off your head and try putting me on your brother.]

What?

Angron voiced his confusion internally.

But the System AI did not want to decode this thought data for now.

The System AI looked at the small screen that had newly appeared on the blue frame.

[Synchronization Rate 13%]

An auspicious number!

[Then, angron unit two! Move out!!!!]

Under Gell's gaze, he saw his Gene-Father pick up the power axe and charge directly forward.

"War Hounds! Follow him!"

Gell was greatly alarmed!

"Third Company! Third Company! Father is heading your way! He's too fast! We can't keep up!"

Gell watched Angron leap into the crowd of the Slave Master's army.

There, the Gladiators were shouting Angron's name. Since they called, the System AI would grant their wish!

When the System AI smashed into the crowd, severed limbs scattered in the sky, and blood turned into a mist enveloping Angron. The power axe swung ceaselessly, tearing open the bodies of the enemies. They were stunned, confused, and then met death!

Large swaths of corpses fell to the ground, and blood flowed across the surface, forming a small stream.

The System AI looked at the surviving Gladiators.

He raised the axe in his hand high.

"For freedom!!!!"

A hoarse roar.

"For Angron!!!"

Following that were shouts of reverence. The System AI showed no lingering attachment to those broken voices, and he continued charging forward.

Like a berserk beast, he tore through everything in his path, from the Slave Master's High Knights to the Black Sprouts.

Wherever he went, the Space Marines immediately provided support for Angron. Compared to the mortal War Hounds, they were like killing machines, pulling triggers, hacking down enemies, and clearing out every foe within their sight.

However, the mortal War Hounds began to gather around this group of Space Marines. The War Hounds looked at these mortal War Hounds who had spontaneously gathered. They might normally disregard mortals, but these were warriors fighting alongside their Gene-Father!

They used their personal force fields to shield these mortals from frontal attacks, and they raised the Bolters in their hands.

"For Angron!"

The mortals shouted.

"For Angron!!!!"

The War Hounds shouted!

At this moment, they were comrades!

...The System AI advanced ceaselessly. Angron had never felt his body move so lightly!

Under the System AI's control, he would only strike down at the most vulnerable points of the human body, using the fastest method with the least wear and tear on the weapon.

From the outskirts of the Hive City to the interior of the Hive City, Angron felt that the Butcher's Nails had taken less than half an hour.

Every Son of Angron witnessed Angron's bravery in combat, and they felt utterly ashamed, simply because they could not keep up with Angron's pace!

"Bang!"

The cracking sound of a Bolter rang out. The System AI saw a Space Marine thrown down from a high wall. Although the System AI did not know what had happened, he stepped on a nearby sandbag and, like a nimble monkey, leaped up, catching the Son of Angron mid-air. A bloody mist spread out behind Angron. Countless people looked up at this scene; the blood mist drifting off Angron seemed like wings.

The panting Gell stared blankly at the scene. He saw Angron rescue one of his brothers in mid-air. When Angron landed on the ground, the earth trembled.

The System AI looked at the blue screen.

It seemed he had overdone it; he saw information indicating slight fragmentation in the unit's leg.

[Repair now?]

Without thinking, the System AI immediately selected repair. As the data synapses slightly stimulated Angron's cells, the fragmented bone began to repair rapidly.

"Which company is that warrior from!"

Gell looked at Angron, who had landed on the ground, and the warrior he was holding. He didn't know if he felt envy or anger.

"It seems to be the Eighth Company!"

"Next time, transfer him to the assault squad!"

Gell felt that the honor of the Twelfth Legion had been completely lost because of this guy!

"Gell Commander! There is a troublesome Eldar here!"

Gell heard the voice coming through his comms.

It was Khârn, Captain of the Eighth Company.

"We'll be there right away! Hold on! Don't die!"

Gell watched Angron climbing upwards like a monkey.

"Hurry and find an elevator!"

Gell now regretted not bringing a jump pack!
