"Alright, children, settle down," the old man said as he walked into the classroom. His name was Sam, and his long grey mustache twitched as he spoke.
"My name is Sam, and I am your new history teacher. Today, we will learn about something very important:
Gods vs Monsters."
He tapped the board and continued.
"A very long time ago — around 100 BC — our world was ruled by Demons. Humans were nothing but slaves. We were not dying… but we were not truly alive either. We were like walls — standing, but empty."
Some children shivered at the thought.
"For one hundred years," Sam said, "humans suffered like this. Then something changed."
He raised a finger.
"The Gods noticed."
The classroom went silent.
"At first, the battle gods came down to help us. They fought the Demons for us. But humans still died like ants—thousands, every day."
He looked sad for a moment.
"But then the Goddess of Life saw our suffering. She saw us dying on battlefields, in chains, in fear… and she could not ignore us any longer."
He placed a hand on his chest.
"So she gave us magic — using half of her own life force."
Gasps filled the room.
"Yes," Sam said softly, "her magic… is her life. That is why magic exists inside every human today."
He continued:
"Now, many of you might think, 'Magic means humans won!' But no. Even with magic, we were still dying — just not as much as before. The war became equal. Both sides suffered."
Sam smiled suddenly.
"And then… one man changed everything."
The children leaned forward.
"One human united the entire race. He taught everyone how to use magic, how to fight, and how to kill Demons. His name was King Ram."
A wave of whispers filled the classroom.
"King Ram was the student of the God of War. He learned magic, weapons, battle strategy… everything. And when he taught humans, the war changed."
Sam lifted both hands dramatically.
"It was no longer equal.
Humans started winning."
The children smiled proudly.
"Slowly, slowly… we pushed the Demons back. Their armies were destroyed. Their leaders fell. And finally, the last Demon king died."
Sam closed his book.
"After the victory, the Gods prepared to leave our world. The Goddess of Life said:
'Enjoy my gift. But do not forget — Demons will return one day, and we will not save you again. You must stand on your own.'
"The God of War added:
'Teach your next generations. Build universities, train soldiers, and never forget the past. And do not forget us.'"
Sam clapped his hands.
"And that is the end of today's class! When you children return from holidays, I will ask questions from Chapters 1 to 6. So study well! Now go — your parents are waiting for you in the hall."
As the children packed up, two girls chatted.
"So… how's your mom? Is she okay?" one asked.
"Yes, she's fine," the other replied. "She was just pregnant. Dad said… it's a boy."
Just then, a man called out:
"Riya! We should go."
"Oh! My dad is here," Riya said. "Bye! May the gods bless you!"
"Bye!"
Riya ran to her father.
"So… it's a boy, huh?" she asked.
"Yes, "
She smiled.
"Then his name will be… MARK."
