Abandoned as a newborn, Liora is saved by a mysterious woman and grows up in an isolated refuge, trained to perceive the world through Essence, turning her blindness into an extraordinary strength. During those years, she develops feelings for her mother’s sister, who visited often, a sweet and complicated bond never openly confessed. When her mother dies, Liora refuses to let her go. With the help of another fairy, she manages to save her mother’s soul by transferring it into a new fae body.
