Chapter 11 - Recollection

(The boy enters a deep slumber in the depths of his mind; a dream troubles him.)

Ugh.

Why?

(The recalls a joyful time with a dear individual to him, playing on the green pasture outside the kingdom, but a gruesome act occurred.)

Where ya fighting? Tec made lunch.

Ya coming?

GRRRRR!

(He lost all reason and seized the boy's neck firmly and did an unfathomable act.)

WHAT YA DOING!!

RUVEE, PLEASE DON'T.

(Ruven awoke in a frenetic state, breathing heavily, shaking without cease.)

Now I remember what I did.

 HIC...HIC. LEIRYA, I'M SO SORRY.

WHY DIDN'T I CONTROL MYSELF?

(With an expression urged with sorrow at the act he had done to his cherished friend, the boy sat quietly reflecting on it. Sleep had left him.)

Maybe I should clear my mind.

mmm...walking around the castle is not a bad idea.

(he left his quarters, walked the dark hall of the castle, as he approached Hansia's chamber. Suddenly, the door opens, and arms swiftly grab the boy, pulling him in.)

Huh!? What just happened?

Baby, why are you distant? I'm sorry, please don't, I'll do anything, just don't.

I guess we all have our own secrets.

(As he ponders leaving, a copper tail wraps around Ruven, and he attempts to free himself with no avail.)

There's no way I can free myself. She's not letting up.

It's not so bad. Has she always been so warm?

(Slowly, the boy drifted under her embrace and slept blissfully until morning rose.)

I slept great, huh? There's no way he would be here. I'm still dreaming. I probably should go.

(After she departed, he also awoke and left her chambers.)

Hey kent how close am I to mastering my aura?

Far.

Not saying much.

(An immense blood-like aura engulfs him, and he hastily condensed it, barrier-like marks manifest on his face.)

Come on...come on...No! I CONTROL YOU, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Forget it, this isn't making sense. I was so close yesterday. I thought today was gonna be it.

You g-g-got to do it again, a little more than you'll get c-c-control.

(Ruven repetitively did this again and again to no utter success.)

Enough, rest.

 Ha..ha, alright, I'll stop.

(Exhaustedly returning to his quarters, but swiftly refraining from doing so.)

Where Ruven?

Him, on the window.

Something wrong.

(A concerned expression rested upon him as he gazed toward. He paid no mind to them.)

Leriya, how did it feel to have your dearest friend murder you?
