The room was dimly lit and very dusty. Two girls, around the age of 12, sat on the floor with their hands tied tightly with a rope. One of them had blonde hair while the other had black thick and silky hair. Both were very beautiful in their own way, but they looked horrified. The girl with black hair whispered
" Christabel..."
But before she could finish, Christabel furiously said
" Don't you dare mention my name with that filthy mouth of yours. You are the reason why I am in this mess."
Ruby rolled her eyes and said
" Before you think of fighting, help me with this first,"
Christabel was about to protest when her eyes fell on the knife in Ruby's hands. Ruby tried to reason with her
" Here, use the knife to cut my rope for me, then I help you cut yours. It is a win-win for both of us, "
Christabel thought of something and said
" How did you get it?"
Ruby answered
" No need for that now just hurry,"
But Christabel said
" No, you cut my rope first, and then I cut yours,"
Ruby knew Christabel very much and knew that arguing with her would only end them staying there forever. Therefore, she reluctantly gave in
" Fine "
She changed her sitting position so that her back was facing Christabel's back, and then she used the knife to carefully cut the rope. As she was busily concentrating, Christabel ordered
" Hey Ruby, you better be careful, I won't forgive you if you cut my hands,"
Ruby just gave her a cold shoulder, and finally, she was able to successfully cut the rope. She passed the knife to Christabel, who also cut hers for her. After they were done, Christabel asked anxiously
" Now, what do we do? if we don't hurry and they catch us ,then we are doomed. "
Ruby didn't talk and was in deep thought. She had to find a way, she thought. Then she suddenly recalled something and stared at the old window. The distance between the floor and the window was long. There was no way she could easily climb that window she turned her head and saw a chair at a distance. Perfect, she thought. She went for the chair and stepped on it. The chair was long enough and could help both of them climb over the window. She successfully opened the window and sighed happily. But then Christabel's furious voice came through
" Ruby you bitch, what are you trying to do. You want to leave me here right. You are also giving me a cold shoulder I will make you pay..."
Ruby founded her irritating. She frowned and said
" You better keep your voice low Christabel. If you keep up with this act, we would be caught sooner or later "
Christabel retorted
" So what, you want to leave me behind, I won't allow it "
Ruby looked at her like a fool. In fact, she really wanted to leave her behind. But can't she think for once. Christabel is slightly shorter than Ruby and if she were to climb first, she wouldn't be able to reach the window even if she raised her hands and tiptoed. Ruby was the best option because if she successfully climb through the window, she could easily help her out. But how would the ignorant Christabel understand. Ruby felt like explaining would be a waste of time. therefore, she only said
" Trust me on this."
Christabel flew into a rage, but Ruby didn't mind her. She tiptoed and was able to hold the egde of the window. She jumped, and just as she was struggling to get to through the window, footsteps were heard. Ruby's face turned ashen. she was momentarily stunned. She knew there was no way she could escape if they entered, and she also couldn't get down, close the window, put the chair in its original position, and sat down as if nothing had happened. It would take lots of time.
Christabel, on the other hand, smirked triumphantly and quickly went to sit down on the ground and held the ropes in her hands.
The door opened and a burly man entered. Ruby was frozen in her spot as she hadn't even had the chance to jump. her hands were still at the edge of the window firmly and her legs were hanging in the air.
The man upon seeing this flew into a rage but before he could go to Ruby, Christabel shouted
" Aaaaah is not me, not me sir it was all her fault. "
Christabel shamelessly pointed at Ruby and continued
" sir please is not my fault, she started it all. I don't know how she got the knife, but she deceived me into cutting her rope for her and only cut mine for me after I continously pleaded with her. Sir she tried to even excape on her own. please sir I'm not at fault, she did everything, don't punish me sir. please "
Ruby was shocked to the bone that she couldn't even think of anything. Her mind just went blank. The man on the other hand became more furious after hearing Christabel's words. He rushed to Ruby and forcefully pulled her down. Ruby groaned in pain as the man mercilessly threw her and her body hit the wall with a thud. The pain was too much for her small body to bear. She felt like her bone were cracking. She was really scared. No matter how brave she was, she was still a 12 year old girl.
Even Christabel was frightened at the man brutality. This man didn't care weather he was dealing with a kid or a girl. Then the man walked to Ruby's weak body that was lying on the ground like a rug. He held her hair tightly and pulled her head up forcefully. Ruby felt like her scalp was been torn apart. Tears streamed down her face and her face was twitched in pain. Before she could think, a huge and strong hand roughly landed on her face leaving an imprint on her face. Her face felt numb and she spat blood. She felt weakly and fell on the ground after the man left her hair. Before she lost consciousness she heard the man's voice
" Dare to try this again and I won't be this easy on you. You are lucky that you are a girl "
Ruby's body trembled as she heard the man's words. This treatment was considered easy.
" hah..." Then her vision turned black.
