I feel better, and Nil's been fine for a while now. But the weekend is already gone… I lost all opportunity to do anything fun, damn it.
Nil shifted on the couch. "Kea? Just curious, but what do you think of our roommate situation?"
What do I think? That's quite the question to throw at me midday on a couch.
"Uhhh, something like… A two-factor beneficial contract?" I blurted out the first thing that came to mind, careful not to overstep my boundary.
"Contract? That's a little mean, don't you think?" She looked at me with fake puppy eyes. "Maybe at least friends at this point, don't you think?"
Friends? I guess that makes sense. Maybe I understepped…
"Ok… That works." I nervously chuckled.
Agh, I had to make her ask, since I just can't bring myself to refer to somebody as a friend, especially if I'm wrong and they didn't think of us as friends… It sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about…
I guess I was at fault for not considering a friendship earlier. I need to grow a backbone…
