Having set the plan,
'Herta' immediately plunged into the design of the Allspark.
Although it's impossible to see a physical object for reference,
at its core, the Allspark has roughly two functions.
One is to modify existing mechanical creations, transforming them into robots that can deform and possess independent energy sources.
The second is to grant this robot independent consciousness, or rather, personality.
'Herta' doesn't need the second function.
Mass-producing automatons is not a major issue in itself.
But creating the source code that allows an AI to evolve into a true automaton is what's complicated.
And,
'Herta' isn't sure if the original, once she kills her way over, will instantly reset the Herta Space Station.
Formatting the AI Herta, or even rebuilding a new Space Station.
Given this uncertainty, creating a life form would be somewhat irresponsible.
It's better to maintain the level of a highly intelligent AI.
If it gets dismantled, it won't be as bad.
So, after excluding the second function,
looking only at the first function, the difficulty is greatly reduced.
Herta only needs to design a set of sufficiently exquisite mechanical structures and add some self-iteration functions.
Compress space within the Allspark to realize an integrated unit for automated transformation.
And then, design a sufficiently strong, hard-to-destroy outer shell for the Allspark.
The basic function of the Allspark could then be realized.
She started working as soon as the idea came.
'Herta' quickly began the initial design phase with this original concept.
In just two days,
a massive number of blueprints were generated in 'Herta's hands,
from the most basic mechanical structure, to the formulas for high-strength alloys, the weapon systems, and the energy sources and supercomputers required to support the transformation... and so on.
Although the function is simple,
to achieve full automation and basic self-iteration functions,
the things that need to be added are not few.
After settling on the design plan, the next step required sufficient construction materials.
The equipment and materials stored in the Herta Space Station couldn't support the creation of the Allspark.
So, 'Herta' waved her hand grandly.
She directly sent the list of materials she needed to the Blue Planet in Herta's name.
It must be said,
Herta's name is truly effective.
The list that 'Herta' sent to the Blue Planet was even fully taken over by the Interastral Peace Corporation.
They didn't even leave any scraps for the Blue Planet.
The Corporation completely monopolized the order.
They were all delivered to the Space Station within two system days.
The efficiency was terrifying.
And what's even more interesting is,
when 'Herta' so brazenly freeloaded a huge wave of materials from the Corporation,
not only did the Corporation seem delighted,
but her lifespan and draw progress bar both increased:
[Character Impersonation System]
[Name: Baiming (Great Herta)]
[Lifespan: 05:00:26 (Paused) + 27 Days (Character Impersonation)]
[Available Transformation Characters: Great Herta]
[Available Draw Count: 0 (5.1%)]
Although the increase wasn't huge, it was still effective.
'Herta' satisfiedly signed for all the raw materials and necessary equipment.
She immediately plunged into the work of manufacturing the Allspark.
In the process, she performed some minor upgrades and iterations.
The initial Allspark plan certainly had room for modification and refinement.
But 'Herta' had to consider one thing:
The actual manufacturing process requires a significant amount of time.
Even without considering the possibility of the real Herta killing her way over at any moment,
the time she could borrow 'Herta's' intelligence was only thirty days; counting what had already been consumed, it was actually just over twenty days.
So, the construction period must be compressed into less than a month.
Based on this reasoning,
'Herta' didn't push every aspect to its limit.
She only designed the self-iteration function and the defensive function to be the best,
while other functions were deemed passable and approved.
And during the actual hands-on work,
'Herta' was also performing small-scale upgrades and iterations while prioritizing the construction schedule.
...
Time flew by.
Compared to the short design phase,
the actual manufacturing time was considerably stretched out.
But there was no way around it.
'Herta' couldn't directly modify the laws of physics; the processing and fabrication of those materials
had to take the required time.
Fortunately, after a full twenty-five system days,
the manufacturing of the Allspark was finally completed.
'Herta' looked at the cube, inscribed with many intricate runes, in her hand.
A satisfied smile appeared on her face.
She certainly couldn't make a huge Allspark; palm-sized was just right.
As for testing...
'Herta' brought the ring on her left middle finger, which was used for phase shifting and storage, closer to the cube.
Then, she slightly induced the Allspark's radiation.
Soon, the Allspark began to tremble slightly, and a burst of energy was injected into the ring.
The silver-white ring also began to tremble in sync and quickly unfolded and deformed.
The ring transformed into a silver-white mechanical snake, coiling around 'Herta's fingertip, and greeted its creator:
"My respects to you, Madam Herta."
"Record my mental waveform; don't mistake me for someone else later."
'Herta' issued her first command.
And the mechanical snake responded.
It climbed up her arm to 'Herta's forehead, where the warm machinery pressed against her skin and began scanning.
Several seconds passed.
Just as 'Herta' was considering temporarily dropping her impersonation state,
the mechanical snake finally finished recording Baiming's soul wavelength.
"Recording complete, my Master. Phase Shift can be initiated at any time; the storage space is also very adequate."
"Very good. Return for now."
'Herta' smiled and poked the little snake's head with her fingertip.
The little snake quickly returned to her left middle finger, changing back into the form of the ring.
'Herta' weighed the Allspark in her hand.
"AI Herta, help me log the information for this Allspark. File it as the Space Station's first Curio."
"Hmph, finally remembered me? Let me see what's what..."
AI Herta started muttering and began creating the archive.
'Herta' paused for thought and then left a few sentences in the archive for the real Herta.
A special method would be required to activate the Allspark, to prevent it from uncontrollably and indiscriminately modifying all mechanical creations.
As for the method...
She certainly wouldn't leave it behind; she'd let the real Herta figure it out herself.
Once AI Herta had finished setting up the archive,
'Herta' called someone to take the Allspark to the Containment Chamber.
As for making the Herta Space Station transform,
'Herta' actually wanted to do it right in front of the original.
If, before the impersonation time runs out,
Madam Herta can discover the imposter on the Space Station and arrive in time.
"Hmm... if she doesn't find out, then I'll send Madam Herta an invitation myself~"
A mischievous smile appeared on 'Herta's face.
