Joanna immediately apologized, "Oh, sorry, madam. We had no clue about your situation. Let me give you a hand."
When Romano spotted Joanna, his project immediately came to mind. He hurried over, almost stumbling in his rush, and blocked her path directly.
"Ms. Harper, how come my project isn't displayed up there? Did something go wrong with it?" Romano burst out.
Joanna looked down at the pudgy boy standing before her, trying to recall his name. "Hello there, sweetie, what's your name?" she asked softly.
"Romano Gould," he replied.
The instant Joanna heard that name, her smile disappeared, her expression freezing momentarily.
Her face turned stern as she fixed her gaze on Romano. "So, you're Romano?"
Noticing Joanna's sudden change in demeanor, Romano grew uncomfortable but still nodded.
