Reed's POV
My eyes widened as panic shot through me like lightning.
"Lorelei, tell me, where are you right now?" I demanded, my voice strained with fear.
Hearing the desperation in my tone, Lorelei knew she had me exactly where she wanted me.
Lorelei choked back her tears. "Reed, please don't come looking for me. I really don't want Jenifer to get the wrong idea about us again."
She ended the call abruptly.
The second the line went dead, I didn't hesitate. I snatched my phone and raced straight for the Keller residence.
***** I slammed on the brakes outside the Keller house and bolted from my car before it fully stopped.
One of the staff members hurried over, clearly startled. "Mr. Gould, what brings you here?"
"Where's Lorelei?" I demanded urgently, seizing the man's arm.
The servant looked bewildered by my frantic state, but with all the online gossip circulating lately, he probably figured I was here for confrontation.
