Ralph was losing it, pacing back and forth while watching me stare at my phone, completely absorbed in my thoughts.
The panic wasn't just from the board members.
Ralph was scared too.
The Gould had seriously ticked off the Zach family this time, and everyone in Oakwood understood exactly how much power they wielded.
Things looked pretty grim for Gould Group at the moment.
"Mr. Gould, what's your next move? The board's given you a few days. If you can't make things right with the Zach family, they're planning to remove you as CEO," Ralph said, his voice tight with worry.
I didn't bother looking up. Just waved him off. "Get out. I need space."
Ralph lingered briefly, then finally closed the door behind him.
