During the lunch break, all the members of Team J gathered at one corner of the room to discuss the latest update. This was the designated area for the "misfits" of Soléne Couture. Gina, the team leader, stood at the head of the group.
She was a woman of average height with a bubbly personality that often acted as a shield for her famously sharp tongue. As the most skillful designer in the group, the others looked to her for direction, even if they often felt like they were steering a sinking ship.
"So, let me get this right. We aren't going to design for the Winter Runway event anymore?" one of the team members asked, her voice skeptical as she chewed on her food.
Gina looked at her colleagues, searching for a spark of defiance, but found only tired eyes.
Deep down, Team J knew they couldn't win. Most of them were either less interested in the high-pressure world of elite designing or had simply become lazy because they felt their work would end up being futile anyway.
