Chapter 85 - Sulking husband

"Good night ma'am," Aizen said as he shut the passenger door. Damian had ordered him to drop off Alina and their son at her workplace, and he did so with his usual sharp punctuality.

"You too," she smiled, adjusting her grip on her things. She had a small portable foam mattress tucked under one arm for Liam to use when he inevitably got sleepy later. Thank goodness he was a good kid who didn't put up a fight about bedtimes in strange places.

In her other hand was a heavy bag packed with dinner—since they'd had no time to eat—along with water, juices, wipes, and everything else a toddler might need for a twelve-hour stint. "Come, Liam," she said, and together they headed inside the building.

Alina hadn't fully realized that bringing a child to a quiet publishing house would turn her into the center of a circus. The second she stepped into the elevator with Liam, the atmosphere changed.
