Raising her eyes, she met his intense gaze.

She calmly capped her lipstick and advised, "Avoid licking or biting the wound, and don't eat spicy, hot, or sour foods at lunch."

As she spoke, her tone involuntarily softened a bit, with a hint of tenderness.

"Feeling guilty?" he asked gently.

"No," Claire Prescott denied.

Keane Lowell wrapped an arm around her waist and asked in a low voice, "Before the wound heals, is it alright if I can't kiss you?"

Hearing this, Claire paused for a moment.

The man dressed in a white shirt looked cool and ascetic, his face detached from the world, speaking with no hint of desire, as if being tender with her.

But at this moment, she wasn't buying it, "You know that without asking."

She broke free from his embrace, sat back in the passenger seat, and quietly packed all the medicines into the box.

Keane didn't say anything more.

After she was settled, he finally started the engine and drove towards Sinclair Apothecary.
