She acted as though nothing had happened and returned to his hospital room.
Coincidentally, the last bottle of infusion just finished, and the nurse came to remove the needle. She quietly went into the bathroom to freshen up.
She then wrung out a warm towel for him.
"No strength," Finn Prescott said weakly.
Claire Prescott helplessly placed the towel over his face, wiping it haphazardly.
Finn Prescott closed his eyes tightly and, once the towel was removed, teased, "Are you trying to murder your own brother?"
Claire ignored him, turned her head, and went back to the bathroom.
She then lay down on the caregiver's sofa, "Call me if you need anything."

She turned off the light.
The room didn't plunge into complete darkness. The nightlight by the bed was on, and the light from the corridor streamed through the small transparent window at the door.
