The resources in The Undercity are extremely scarce.
There is no sun, no moon, deep underground at 3000 meters, most crops cannot grow here.
So, the food source for the residents of The Undercity is either some rare and peculiar magic plants or some gruesome monsters.
But often, those monsters that manage to survive in such harsh environments are so powerful that they make you doubt your life.
Water is another survival issue.
There is water underground.
But clean water resources are often occupied by strongholds of The Undercity or seized by powerful monsters.
In short, eating and drinking here are major problems.
