After talking with Huang Yanquan, Yiyi went to her mother's room to find her, but after knocking on the door, no one came to open it.
Yiyi was puzzled, thinking her mother might be taking a nap, and given how tired she was lately, might be sleeping so soundly she didn't hear the knock, so she returned to her own room.
However, as soon as Yiyi returned to her room, she sensed something was amiss; no matter how deeply her mother slept before, she would always wake up upon hearing any noise. This time she had knocked for so long, how could her mom have not heard it?
Thinking of this, Yiyi hurried to Ding Yuejun's room again, this time knocking more forcefully, yet still, there was no response. Instantly realizing something was wrong, she didn't hesitate to kick the door open and searched the room, finding no trace of her mother's presence anywhere.
At this point, Gu Tingyu and Yun Chu also rushed over.
"Yiyi, what happened?"
"What's wrong with the young lady?"
