Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Arrival of the Valkyrie

Chapter 2: Arrival of the Valkyrie

Looking around, it was clear now where I was. The hulks of alien starships, the myriad of scrap and refuse, the glowing portals of every colour high up in the blue sky- every so often depositing more waste.

It was Sakaar.

The same Sakaar that was that garbage planet in Thor: Ragnarok. The same Sakaar with the millenia-old Grandmaster and his obsession with making mortals battle it out in his 'Contest of Champions.' The same Sakaar that had a very pathetic Valkyrie drunkenly drowning her sorrows in between bouts of capturing slaves for the Grandmaster.

"I'll be back for you later." I mutter to myself, making a mental note to get that Tier 5 Capture that was close by. Relatively. For now, I needed some answers.

Thankfully, the Company had a Helpdesk Hotline that could possibly answer.

"Give me information on my Greater God that entered into an Agreement with the Company." I gruffly demanded to the smartphone; and almost immediately, the response came to the screen in big bold text.

Client information, their transactions, and agreements are strictly confidential.

"I see. The Greater God is playing tricks with me. Fine, keep your secrets for now." I nodded in understanding. "But that wasn't going to stop me from following their instructions- I was going to do that anyway."

I had no inclination to be a goody two-shoes hero. So many other Contractors were trying too hard to be good people despite being in the profession that often bordered on slave-trading. They were also the type of people who would jump into a pool and complain that they were now wet. That wasn't something that I was going to do.

No, I was going to do as my Greater God had urged me to do: To kill and dominate, to rape and enslave, to take and pillage.

There were entire worlds past this filthy landfill that I was in. A world of opportunities as they say. Because for as long as there are many others who collectively possess their millions of acres and their thousands of tonnes of gold... and their sisters and daughters, I will never lack for opportunities.

"But first, my build." I brought up the Company App, and selected what I need. I had done the Waifu Catalog on the internet before. Never thought it was real, but now at least I knew my way around the options. My dragonbone-covered finger tapped against the glass screen of the Company smartphone.

I purchased no waifus. After all, why buy when I can just take? For just like waifus, immense power could be bought from the company for a price.

A swipe down to see the options here. A few options selected there. And before I knew it, I couldn't help but give a visceral grin as I pressed enter.

[Fight for your Life], [Deathmatch] and [No Future]

Ten other enemy Company Contractors will arrive from other universes, one after the other, for me to do battle with.

Each one of them will wield the Waifu Catalog that I had been empowered with; with their own band of waifus at their backs and their own choices in perks and skills that they bought from the they will not hesitate to leverage every ounce of their powers against me.

Because upon their arrival to this universe, our Company Phones will send us information about each other's faces and names.

And then the fun begins.

Because whoever wins will have claim to this universe, its riches and its captures. The loser will likely enter service as one of their (genderbent) waifus or be sold off. A waifu or two in their collection might just that: other Company Contractors that fell to them. And that's why there will be no mercy: It will only be kill or be killed.

Only the strongest will survive- just as it should.

Most importantly, I assigned all my points into my Heritage. Company Option that would transform me into something more than human and grant powerful abilities. And of course, as Dragonborn, I chose [Dragon Heart] and [Dragon Scale].

Dragon Heart gave me the abili-

VOOOOOOOMMMMM!

A low flying and vaguely familiar-looking ship flew overhead from where I was- making me pause my reading of the things on my Company Smartphone.

Being found this fast was not what I expected to happen, but as I glanced around and found only mountains of sci-fi refuse as far as the eye could see. I had to admit that the fact that I was the only life form that stood upright in about a 10km radius would make me stand out.

I tilted my helmeted head up to look at it- trying to discern why the vessel looked familiar. A winged spacecraft with a large glass dome for a cockpit at the front. Its white-painted fuselage was covered in odd black and red symbols. Was it…

The spark of recognition lit up in my blood red eyes and I couldn't help but grin viciously under my Dragonplate helmet. There was no mistaking it now, that was the Warsong- Valkyrie's ship.

"How fortuitous." I couldn't help but mutter as the ship wobbled a bit before landing just a few meters away from me. Up close, it was larger than it first appeared- it was actually half the size of your typical American suburban home.

A metal ramp seemed to slither out the front and the glass-like dome of the cockpit opened up- just in time for the pilot's voice to call out from the interior.

"Alright, you wannabe Asgardian!" her clearly drunken voice slurred out, "Out here in the middle of nowhere is a bad place to get preoccupied with that comms of yours."

I had idly wondered if the characters were going to be depicted as the MCU had casted them to be or if they were going to be by their comic book counterparts.

It seemed that I finally had my answer- it was the former, but more… larger than life. Because that was not a Tessa Thompson look-alike that stumbled out the ship. No, I would say that the ex-Asgardian known as Valkyrie now looked like her older, hotter sister.

No human actress could compare to how good she looked before my eyes now.

'Comic Book Pretty' was how I'd described her: A flawless hourglass figure that was hugged tight and emphasized by her black leather outfit, larger breasts that made a generous D-cup swell on the glossy black leather of her armour, a prettier face still decorated by those white tattoos across her forehead and eyes, and a graceful jawline with pouty lips.

"Take a pic," She scoffed with mocking in her voice, "it'll last longer."

She still had no idea how in over her head she was. It was amusing for me.

"Good idea." I agreed- my deep voice rumbling out with a cheerful lilt. Raising my Company Phone in my gauntleted hand, I snapped a photo of her standing there with her arms crossed over the black leather of her chest and a vaguely amused smirk on her lips.

It would make a nice memento for her to remember the last hour she spent as a free woman.

"I don't suppose you can give me a ride to the city?" I joked to her as I pretended to pocket the Company Phone in my greaves, but just disappeared it into my [Pocket Dimension].

"Sure, I can do that." She readily agreed with an easy smile before fishing something small and metallic out of her pocket. "Just put this on first."

Her slender hand suddenly darted like a striking snake- the shiny metallic thing flying through the air that was too fast for human eyes to catch. Except…

I wasn't human- I was the Akatosh-be-damned Last Dragonborn.

Holding up the metallic disk by its edges like you would a coin between my dragonbone-covered fingertips, I studied the little disk and nodded in recognition.

"Ah, it's one of those 'obedience aids' the one you put on… excitable prisoners." I commented with a happy tone- drinking in the look of surprise on Valkyrie's face as her dark eyebrows rose almost to her hairline.

"You're quick with your hands for a big guy!" She remarked with an interested smile. I suppose it was true. I should be a bit around seven feet tall right now. Valkyrie also began bumping her fists together to make that light blue holographic interface that I knew would activate the turrets to her ship. The metal gauntlets that she wore were clearly the control devices for her ship's guns, albeit, they were not that reliable.

"Do you need a minute?" I offered as I watched her grunt and the blue hologram just flickering on and off.

"No, no, I'm good. Just. Need to." She furiously grunted each word as she fist bumped herself before, "C'mon, stupid tech…"
