Chapter 18 - Mahesh

The air around them felt unnaturally heavy, as if the place itself was breathing. Invisible waves of radiation and time-energy pulsed through the ground beneath their feet. The sky above had no clear color—neither night nor day—just a fractured dome of dim light, flickering like a broken memory. In the center of this dead, radioactive zone floated a crystalline object, suspended without support, rotating slowly in silence.

It was the Time Core of Lord Mahesh.

Bhram stood calmly beside it, hands folded behind his back, his expression unreadable. Aeon stared at the core, eyes reflecting its cold glow.

Bhram → Aeon, as you can see, this crystalline time core belongs to Lord Mahesh.

Mahesh is Mahesh to me, but Lord to you.

Mahesh is the ruler of this planet—Earto.

Aeon circled the core slowly, his footsteps crunching against the hardened, glass-like ground.

Aeon → Oh… I can understand that he is a god-like being and the ruler of this planet.

But where is his body? And where is his consciousness?

Bhram let out a slow breath, as if he had expected this question.

Bhram → Wait. Let me explain everything to you.

You're making too much hurry now—as if we Timeaseans get old and die of old age.

Aeon smirked faintly.

Aeon → Ohk. Go ahead.

Bhram stepped closer to the floating core. The light intensified, reacting to his presence.

Bhram → As I told you earlier, this is the time core of Mahesh.

Even before this planet was born—before matter, before oceans, before even cosmic dust clustered together—

There was Mahesh.

Aeon stopped moving.

Bhram → Mahesh was sent here by an Unknown Power.

The being who sent Mahesh existed when there was nothing.

No space. No matter. No light. No darkness.

The air vibrated slightly, as if the place itself reacted to those words.

Bhram → That unknown being created something beautiful… and dangerously absolute.

Not a weapon in form—

but a weapon as a concept.

— TIME —

Aeon frowned, listening carefully now.

Bhram → The Unknown Being existed when there was no time flow.

There was no before.

There was no after.

Time itself did not apply to him.

Suddenly, Bhram stopped speaking.

He turned toward Aeon sharply.

Bhram → Ayee…!! Aeon, you dumb ass—are you even listening to me?

Why did you close your eyes? Why aren't you responding?

Aeon opened his eyes slowly, annoyed.

Aeon → Hey, wait.

I closed my eyes so I could concentrate and visualize everything going on in this damn step-by-step explanation.

Bhram blinked.

Bhram → Ah!

He shook his head and continued.

Bhram → So, because of that Unknown Being I told you about…

the concept of time was born.

Time existed because of him.

The core pulsed once—slow, deep.

Bhram → He sent Mahesh to rule over Earto.

And from that moment onward, Mahesh became the ruler of this planet.

Aeon's eyes were still closed, visualising every word that Bhram is saying..

Bhram → Now, to answer your question…

Mahesh's body is split into two.

Bhram → To protect this planet from extreme destruction.

Some beings call him the God of Destruction.

Bhram paused, his voice lowering.

Bhram → But most of them are unaware that he protects them first.

The wind shifted unnaturally, swirling around the core.

Bhram → I'll say this—

Mahesh holds so much power that he could defeat even me…

and destroy my entire universe.

Bhram thought Aeon is listening

Bhram → But he is bound to planet Earto.

Bound by the Supreme Lord—The Unknown.

Aeon's eyes still closed.

Bhram → As I told you earlier, Mahesh's body is split into two forms.

One is named Parvat, controlling the southern part of the globe.

The other is named Shakar, controlling the northern part—from the North Pole.

The ground beneath them felt colder.

Bhram → Parvat governs from the South Pole.

Some people even say Parvat is Mahesh's wife.

Bhram shrugged slightly.

Bhram → I don't know… maybe.

He took a breath, as if about to reveal something dangerous.

Bhram → As for the Unknown God of all of us who exist now—

He is — VISHN....

Suddenly—

Aeon → I had a good nap…

Bhram froze.

Aeon → Ohh, so where were we…

Ohh! Yes. You told me Mahesh's body was split into two parts.

So where are they now?

Bhram's patience snapped.

Bhram → You piece of shit!!

I knew you slept.

He gestured angrily at the surroundings.

Bhram → And here—this radioactive place—is so comfy for your sleep?!

Aeon grinned unapologetically.

Bhram → At least you listened to half of it.

So again—

Mahesh was split into two beings.

One named Parvat, and another named Shakar.

Bhram → Some people believe Parvat is Mahesh's wife.

She controls the southern part of the globe from the South Pole.

And Shakar—

Aeon → Yeah, yeah, I got this!

Shakar controls the northern part from the North Pole.

Aeon stretched his arms.

Aeon → I just have too many questions to ask you.

You seem more supportive of my questions than Saturn is.

So… can I ask?

Bhram nodded.

Bhram → Go on…!!

Aeon's expression became serious.

Aeon → Ok, let's start from the beginning.

Who is this lord—Mr. Unknown?

Bhram stiffened.

Bhram → That's exactly the point I was telling you before you interrupted me by waking up.

For now… there is no need for you to understand that.

Aeon raised an eyebrow.

Aeon → Ok then.

As you said, Mr. Unknown created the concept of time.

Then how come Saturn is the God of Time?

Bhram exhaled slowly.

Bhram → Lord Saturn is the God of Time—no doubt.

But Saturn exists because of the Lord Unknown.

Aeon leaned closer.

Aeon → Why are you hesitating to tell me his name?

Bhram remained silent.

Inside Bhram's mind—

Saturn (thought): If you even take his name, your universe will crash into your time core and be thrown away.

Bhram clenched his jaw.

Bhram → Aeon…

today , I am thankful to you for taking a nap and sealing up at the exact timing.

Aeon looked confused.

Aeon → What!?

What are you even talking about?

Why are you suddenly thanking me?

Bhram → Nothing.

I'm just mad at you for sleeping.

(I know nothing like that.)

Just forget it.

Aeon narrowed his eyes but let it go.

Aeon → So according to you…

There existed someone even before Saturn.

Bhram → Yes.

Aeon → That means Mahesh and Saturn are like brothers.

Both directly connected to the Lord Unknown.

Bhram smiled faintly.

Bhram → Yes… my friend.

Aeon slowly reached toward the glowing core.

Aeon → Can I touch it?

The core vibrated violently.

Eenos → Wait!!

Bhram → Wait!!!

Aeon pulled his hand back instantly.

Aeon → You again!?

How did you get here?

You were spying on me!

A shadow stepped out from the distorted air.

Eenos → So what?

Why can't I be here?

Bhram's eyes narrowed.

Bhram → You two know each other?

Eenos smirked.

Eenos → Yes.

I mean… I know him.

The core pulsed faster.

The atmosphere tightened.

And silence fell.

To be continued…
