Damian Sinclair used to be aloof, but he was never this sarcastic.
Bella Acker stared at him blankly, as if she didn't recognize him.
Damian Sinclair also looked at her, then continued, "If Ms. Acker wants publicity, please find someone else. I'm not interested." With that, he ignored Bella and turned his attention to the director.
He glanced at his watch before saying, "Director Ford, what time is the opening ceremony scheduled for?"
"Nine o'clock." Director Ford was momentarily stunned, then looked at his own watch and said, "It's about time, President Sinclair, please."
Damian Sinclair nodded and walked away with Director Ford without giving Bella another glance.
Vivian Norris and the other main cast members naturally followed immediately.
Only Bella remained frozen on the spot. For the first time, she understood that words could hurt to this extent! Like a knife, cutting into her heart again and again, almost making her burst into tears.
