Chapter 28 - Chapter;28 Misunderstanding Tao Yao?

Sakura Fubuki skillfully navigated the game interface and activated a new main quest.

As the story progressed, she controlled the game character Hiyakura, engaging in a conversation with the senior sister Laurel, along with fellow main characters Jasmine and Violet.

During the dialogue, the four decided to head to the Twin Cities together.

This segment of the storyline felt relatively mundane, primarily detailing a transition before entering a new map.

Hiyakura and her companions discussed the upcoming adventure, encouraging each other to mentally prepare for the challenges ahead.

As the story developed.

Unknowingly, the time had turned to night.

Hiyakura was alone in the hotel, feeling a bit bored.

Sakura Fubuki controlled her and decided to go for a walk.

[Exploration Mission: Night Tour of Twin Cities]

- Objective: Explore the streets of Twin Cities at night

- Reward: Adventure Experience +500, City Reputation +100

- Hint: The Twin Cities at night may hide unexpected secrets

Sakura Fubuki's eyes lit up upon seeing this exploration mission.

She murmured to herself, "An exploration mission? Is there some hidden storyline here?"

With curiosity, Sakura Fubuki began to control Hiyakura to explore.

She carefully examined every corner, hoping to discover something special.

However, due to her late login time.

Combined with the slow progression of the story, the barrage in the livestream chat began to grow anxious.

"Streamer, hurry to the park!"

"I heard you can encounter Tao Yao in the park!"

"If you miss it, there won't be any follow-up storyline, hurry up!"

Seeing these comments, Sakura Fubuki was a bit surprised. She quickly adjusted the exploration direction and headed for the park.

When Hiyakura arrived at the park, a sweet singing voice echoed around.

The voice was soft and melodious, seeming to float down from the heavens, captivating everyone.

As Hiyakura ventured deeper into the park, she saw a stunning scene: Tao Yao dancing alone under the stars and moon.

The moonlight, like water, fell upon Tao Yao, casting a gentle silver glow on her.

Her dance was elegant and natural, not grand in scale, but full of rhythm.

She spun lightly, her hands sometimes reaching up, as if plucking stars from the sky.

Tao Yao's dance appeared effortless, integrating seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Every movement harmonized with the moonlight, tree shadows, and gentle breeze, making her a part of the night.

Her movements sometimes fluttered like willow branches, sometimes brushed lightly like butterfly wings, exuding an indescribable elegance and grace.

This scene was breathtakingly beautiful, and the livestream chat exploded in an instant:

"Oh my God, is that Tao Yao??!!"

"Wow, this is so beautiful!"

"No way, if you act like this, how can I let you into the dungeon?"

"So Tao Yao is this enchanting, I was wrong, I shouldn't have thought of grinding her materials!"

When this animation ended, the game entered a dialogue phase.

Tao Yao stopped dancing, turned to Hiyakura, and revealed a sweet smile.

Tao Yao spoke:

"Hey, cutie, we meet again, just as I said we would."

A few dialogue options popped up on the screen, and Sakura Fubuki carefully considered before making a choice.

Hiyakura asked, "Did you know I would come here?"

Tao Yao replied with a light laugh, "Actually, I just came here to try my luck. I didn't expect to really wait for you here."

Hiyakura continued to ask, "Were you specifically waiting for me here?"

Tao Yao blinked and playfully said, "If it weren't to wait for someone, I doubt anyone like myself would be in the park dancing alone at this late hour, right? Especially with all these magical seashells from a distant ocean kingdom providing accompaniment, perfect for self-expression."

The conversation continued, and Hiyakura finally asked the question that had been troubling her for a long time: "Are you... really a bad person?"

Upon hearing Hiyakura's question, Tao Yao's smile turned gentle and profound.

She sighed softly, gazing into the distant starry sky as if contemplating how to answer this complex question.

"Good person? Bad person? Is there really such a simple division in this world?"

Tao Yao said softly, with a hint of bitterness in her voice, "Everyone has their own stance and beliefs. In the eyes of different people, the same person can be both a hero and a villain."

She turned to face Hiyakura, her eyes shining with determination. "Whether I am good or bad is not for me to decide. I merely want to do what I want to do."

Tao Yao's voice softened but was filled with power, "Although this world is not beautiful, it is a rotten world. It is because of its flaws that I should take action. To change this rotten, unappealing world into what I envision."

These words echoed in the game and sparked a massive response in Sakura Fubuki's livestream.

The barrage exploded instantaneously, a flood of comments pouring in.

"So that's what Tao Yao didn't finish saying back then?"

"No way! We all thought she wanted to destroy the world?"

"Looking at it this way, we really misunderstood her?"

"Tao Yao isn't a villain, she's an idealist!"

"This kind of thinking is simply heroic!"

"I suddenly think Tao Yao is so cool, I want to cheer for her!"

As the discussion among viewers intensified, some players began to think more deeply about Tao Yao's character.

"Wait, if Tao Yao wants to change the world, what are her goals?"

"Could it be related to those mysterious forces in the game?"

"I think Tao Yao might know some truths we are unaware of."

However, just as the discussion was deepening, a series of teasing comments suddenly appeared in the livestream chat:

"Uh-oh, looks like Snow is about to become Snow Dog."

"Be a good pet for Tao Yao, Snow."

"Streamer, have you been captivated by Tao Yao's charm?"

"Snow, run! Otherwise, you'll really become a pet!"

Faced with this sudden teasing, Sakura Fubuki's expression instantly turned exasperated. She took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to roll her eyes, and said to the camera:

"Don't rush, everyone, let's continue to see. Things might not be that simple."

Sakura Fubuki adjusted her sitting posture and continued to control the game.

Hiyakura was silent in the game for a moment, seemingly digesting Tao Yao's words.

Then.

The storyline continued to unfold.

Before long, Tao Yao invited Hiyakura to dance together.

Hiyakura appeared quite shy, seeming a bit flustered.

Then.

Tao Yao actively approached Hiyakura, taking her hand.

This scene corresponded perfectly with the preview in version 1.2, which had been misunderstood by players as a hint of Tao Yao doing something bad to Hiyakura.

Most players at the time.

Assumed that Tao Yao intended to do something unpleasant to Hiyakura.

But it turned out to be just dancing?

Were they all just played?
