Caden Lockwood's brow furrowed; sometimes Julian Keaton's persistence was even more nagging than a woman's.
"Caden, listen to me. There are so many women in the world, why do you have to be fixated on Evelyn Morgan..."
"I've tried." Caden suddenly opened his eyes, staring straight at Julian, his dark pupils flashing with an intense, indiscernible something.
Rex was frowning tightly, only to hear Caden continue, "No one else will do except her."
"But..."
"I know what I'm doing," Caden said in a deep voice.
"You just want her body, right? Then take it! She can sleep with you every day, but you don't have to make her Mrs. Lockwood, do you?" Julian asked. "Though doing so is a bit shameless, it's better than the pain you'll face later!"
Julian knew Caden too well; he was probably afraid that Evelyn Morgan was either already Mrs. Lockwood or was about to become Mrs. Lockwood.
Caden stood up, took a step forward, and closed in on Julian.
