**Scene 89– "In the City" (Night)**
*Despite the stormy weather, Labib slept deeply on the doorstep of one of the shops…
From afar, a girl was walking in the rain—elegant, wearing gloves and a cotton coat, shielding herself with a rain umbrella.
Suddenly, her eyes fell upon a boy sleeping out in the open… it was **Labib**.*
*She approached him and said:*
"Poor thing…"
*Then she took off her cotton coat that protected her from the cold and covered his body with it so he could feel warmth. She then ran off, but stopped, turned back toward him for a moment, her eyes filled with sadness and pity for his condition… then she continued on her way.*
