Chapter 48 - Captain

Rio's eyes followed Manager Farke, who had stomped his way over to Djed Spence and the other senior loanees who just so happened to distance themselves from him after the training incident.

If he remembered correctly, Djed Spence was a tyrant in the dressing room in his previous life simulation. He took his Premier League status and lorded it over anyone who was not a "star," making the academy kids clean his boots or just outright mocking their clothes.

Of course, this changed once Rio took over his position in the hierarchy. All of the status Spence had turned to naught, and he was forced to train with the U21s in order to stay fit, with the hopes of one day getting a move away.

He wasn't entirely sure who became the starting right-back after Spence left in that timeline—maybe Ayling?—not like that mattered at this point.
