Chapter 23 - Chapter 19: Scorching Blood Boiling (Part 2)

In the game "Dawn," Nuobai appeared as a side boss.

If Nuobai was severely injured by players, he would activate "Searing Blood" and enter the second stage, commonly known among players as "Red Eyes."

The CG of his whole body surging with blood patterns and eyes suddenly changing from black to crimson amazed countless players.

In the game, the second stage "Red-Eyed Nuobai" could only be described with two words: rabid dog.

Sudden charge and attack without any warning, unbeatable resilience, savage desire for attacks, and freakish damage that led to immediate death.

Every day, players were slashed by that Tang Blade into a dizzy state, cursing in the beta testing group while asking how to beat this freakish boss.

This led to a joke among players about Nuobai: "When the eyes turn red, your save was wasted."

Nuobai now activated "Searing Blood," bringing out his absolute strength to kill Alote and the others at all costs.

Nuobai held the Tang Blade, his body's center of gravity precisely aligned with the axis, without the slightest deviation, displaying an amazing aesthetic beauty, while his crimson eyes coldly watched the Razor Soldiers, murderous intent spreading immensely.

The overwhelming pressure made Alote feel uneasy, prompting him to raise a fist, "Fire!!!"

The Razor Warriors' fingers had just pulled, but the trigger still hadn't passed the critical point when the bloodshed began.

"Swish—" Nuobai's body vanished instantly, leaving a continuous shadow in the corridor.

The Tang Blade emitted a hissing noise due to the intense friction with the air, like a serpent's tongue, piercing a Razor Warrior's heart in an instant.

"Splurt!"

The Razor Warrior flew over ten meters backward under the impact, collapsing on the ground like mud, a bizarre scarlet blossom erupting from his chest, the ruptured artery spraying blood onto the ceiling.

On the contrary, Nuobai's Tang Blade, owing to the stabbing speed, pierced the heart without being stained by any blood, its shiny blade reflecting the sky filled with crimson, portraying a beauty hard to express in words.

Nuobai reversed the blade into its sheath, drawing an exquisite arc in the air, precisely finding the sheath's location.

"Clack." The Tang Blade returned to its sheath.

Yet this wasn't the end but the beginning of a new massacre chapter.

Nuobai leaned forward, assuming a stance of drawing force, and then "Boom," the extremely compressed air surrounding burst forth radially, breaking the sound barrier with just his flesh.

Where Nuobai passed, fierce winds gusted, sonic boom ripples spread out, and his high-speed body stretched into a slender shadow, aligning with another Razor Warrior, the Tang Blade sweeping through his body in a flash, without any stutter.

"Splurt!!"

Under this supersonic blade strike, the Razor Warrior's body exploded along the cut, blood pouring down like torrential rain.

Nuobai stood imposing amidst the blood rain, his radiant face blurred by the blood, only the crimson eyes bursting out with fiercer determination could be seen.

"Clack." The Tang Blade once again returned to its sheath.

Nuobai leaned forward again, assuming a drawing force position.

In a moment, two companions died violently, even a fool understood what this action meant.

Seeing Nuobai's crimson eyes targeting himself, the third Razor Warrior's face turned pale: "She's coming!!!"

"Boom!!" The sonic boom from breaking the sound barrier sounded once more.

Nuobai's body ripped through the battlefield, leaving fleeting shadows behind, everything around seemed dragged into colorlessness.

The Tang Blade tore through the air with a sharp hiss, the dazzling light occupying the entire sight of the Razor Soldier.

"Splurt!!!"

When the Tang Blade pierced the Razor Warrior's body, spider web-like cracks spread from the blade hole, constantly cracking outwards, the whole body shattering inch by inch under immense force, splintering into pieces.

"Splurt!!!"

The Tang Blade continued, seamlessly slashing through an adjacent Razor Warrior, vivid blood blooming like fiery flowers.

"Clack." The Tang Blade returned to its sheath.

Leaning forward, drawing force.

"Boom!!!" As Nuobai stomped down, the floor beneath completely collapsed, the entire platform shaking under the impact.

"Splurt splurt splurt!" Her fleeting shadow along with the Tang Blade's arc drew out three destructive zigzags, nearly tangible blade gleam enveloping three Razor Warriors, utterly destroying them.

This was true "destruction," their bodies couldn't bear the supersonic slashing force, blasted into dozens of gruesome fragments, pieces scattered everywhere, forming a scarlet carpet on the ground with blood.

With four blades, all seven Razor Warriors brought by Alote perished!

"Clack." The sound of the blade entering the sheath echoed coldly, like the death knell rung by the Death God.

Staring at the pair of cold crimson eyes beyond the blood mist and the poised Tang Blade in its sheath, Alote's face turned ashen, his scalp tingling.

A deadly sense of crisis surged through his entire being like a tide, a survival instinct thudding more fiercely than ever. Every cell in his body sent out a restless warning, leaving only one word in his mind—

Run.

If he couldn't escape, he would die.

"Boom!!!" The sonic boom, accompanied by a suffocating wind pressure, came crashing down.

Wherever Nuobai's afterimage passed, the ground crumbled, the air liquefied under heavy pressure shattered in layers, and the shrill sound mercilessly tortured Alote's eardrums.

Yet before Nuobai drew her blade, Alote's combat instincts prompted him to respond first.

"Bang." He squeezed the smoke grenade at his waist, and a cloud of white smoke erupted in place.

The Life Sequence Exploration Center, being underground, had poor air circulation. The smoke flooded every corner in an instant, hard to disperse, visibility plummeting to its lowest point.

Nuobai's sight was disrupted and unable to retract her move, she slashed with full force towards Alote's previous location.

The Tang Blade slashed like a tempest, icy gleams pouring out, sonic booms resounded.

"Clang—" Nuobai felt resistance from the Tang Blade, clearly having struck something.

But that resistance lasted only a moment, ultimately unable to withstand the power of the supersonic strike.

"Thud." The sound of a heavy object hitting the ground echoed.

Nuobai parted the smoke in front of her and saw a large bone claw on the ground.

The blade had struck, but it only severed Alote's arm.

He wasn't dead, he had found a way to hide in the smoke somewhere.

Nuobai still wanted to pursue, but suddenly heard approaching footsteps, and Su Mo's voice came: "Nuobai!"

Su Mo stopped Nuobai, halting her pursuit: "Don't chase! Your body can't handle it!"

Su Mo remembered clearly, in the game "Dawn," during Nuobai's boss fight, she would perform supersonic strikes like just now in her second phase with red eyes.

But only five strikes.

If you couldn't dodge five strikes, you'd meet at the save point.

If you dodged five strikes, Nuobai would enter a state of severe exhaustion, which was also the best opportunity for players to go all out.

Just now, Nuobai had slashed through seven Razor Soldiers in four strikes, and severed Alote's arm with one more. She was likely at her limit.

Sure enough, shortly after Su Mo finished speaking, Nuobai completely collapsed, all the blood patterns on her body faded, and her eyes turned back to black, falling into his arms like a puppet with its strings cut.

Nuobai really couldn't hold on any longer, her depletion was too severe.

After four or five days of continuous fighting and being drained of a large amount of blood by Su Mo, she forcibly activated Burning Blood despite a punctured lung. It was truly a life-or-death situation.

The supersonic slashes just now took a tremendous toll on her body, putting all her bones and organs under extreme pressure.

It was unknown how many bones were broken inside her, how many organs were haemorrhaging heavily.

Without the regenerative power of the Crimson Rose Blood Code, she would have died long ago.

Even after Burning Blood ended, Nuobai's body temperature remained extremely high, burning Su Mo's skin red, but he still gritted his teeth and carried her behind cover.

Su Mo peeked at the fallen bone claw and quickly made a rational judgment.

Although Alote also lost an arm, it wasn't a fatal injury, his stamina, and life were still intact.

Under these circumstances, if they fought head-on, Nuobai would definitely perish.

She had reached her limit.

They couldn't push any harder.

They could only outsmart him.

Su Mo placed his hand on Nuobai's face, and in a voice that only the two of them could hear, he said, "Nuobai, listen to me carefully, you can't beat him now."

"To defeat him, we have only one method..."
