Lacey's eyes narrowed immediately.
What the fuck did she mean? I thought I told you to stay away from the Dixons.
Her jaw tightened, fists clenching at her sides as the irritation boiled up again.
She sneered, voice low but cutting, "You and your daughter have ears but can't hear. Otherwise, she would've stayed out of my business, and you would've kept my mother's name out of your mouth."
The words hit like a whip. Tiffany's mother froze mid-step, clearly not expecting Lacey to fire back with such venom.
Ashley's hand tightened on Lacey's arm, sensing the storm brewing but knowing she couldn't stop her.
"You little brat!" Madison's mother barked, but Lacey didn't flinch. She was already fed up with their patronizing tones and the implication that she was somehow wrong to defend herself.
"I don't care how old you are or how many court cases you've been involved in," Lacey snapped, her voice rising, "my life is none of your business. Stay out of it!"
