Lance swallowed.
That one sentence alone changed everything.
"They're going to hate this.." Lance said quietly.
"Yes." Ansel replied. "They don't want to take the blame so of course they'd want to push the blame onto someone else."
Lance exhaled and leaned back against the counter. "If I read theirs, I look guilty. If I read yours, I look combative."
Ansel shrugged, this was part route Lance could take for himself.
"Read the next paragraph. I made sure to settle the university in a way that they wouldn't be able to refute. Though they didn't do shit at the beginning, they did step up when the incident started so let's give them the praise for that.."
Lance looked down, his eyes widened. He looked at the paper and then at Ansel.
He was really good at this.
