Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: THE NEW TRANSFER

The morning sun reflected off the sleek glass towers of Reikosha Academy, casting long shadows across the sprawling training fields. Students in crisp uniforms moved in groups, chatting, laughing, and occasionally glaring at each other. Some practiced energy techniques, while others argued over their rankings on the digital leaderboard displayed in the center courtyard.

Kairo Kurosawa adjusted his backpack nervously. Today was his first day at this prestigious academy. A transfer student from another city, he had heard of Reikosha's reputation for producing some of the strongest energy users in the country. But being ranked E-4 on the first day? That didn't exactly scream "legend in the making."

"Alright, Kairo. Time to see what you're made of," he muttered under his breath, adjusting his uniform.

He walked through the courtyard, trying to stay unnoticed, but his tall frame and dark blue eyes naturally drew some attention. Some students whispered. Others snickered. One particularly cocky third-year, leaning against a pillar, waved a hand dismissively.

"E-4, huh? Heard the transfer kid's here. Don't get in our way," the boy said, smirking.

Kairo clenched his fists but kept calm. He had promised himself he wouldn't start fights today not when he didn't even know how strong his energy was yet.

As he walked further, he noticed three familiar faces waiting for him near the training grounds.

Kimimaru Aoyama, tall and silent, green eyes fixed on Kairo with unreadable intensity. C-3 rank, Reikou Energy mastered, and Gyakuun partially controlled but still mysterious to most students.

Yura Hoshikawa, calm and collected, with white hair tied in a ponytail, B-4 rank, fastest student in her year. Kairo couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by her serene aura.

And Tyouro Mikado, smiling warmly, brown eyes friendly, D-4 rank, known for inhuman strength and incredible intelligence.

"Hey, Kairo!" Tyouro waved. "I'm Tyouro, and these are my friends Kimimaru and Yura. Don't worry, we won't bite… at least not literally."

Yura gave a small nod, her expression unreadable but polite. Kimimaru simply stared.

Just as Kairo tried to relax, a group of first-year students from his class approached. The "class clowns," he thought. One of them, a messy-haired boy, pointed at Kairo.

"New guy? What's your energy level? E-4? Hahaha, that's barely a warm-up!"

Kairo gritted his teeth. Before he could respond, Yura's hand shot forward, and a faint shimmer of Reikou Energy rippled around her. The clumsy boy suddenly tripped backward, as if reality itself slowed down around him for just a moment.

"Watch where you point fingers," Yura said softly, her calm voice slicing through the courtyard.

The bully froze, wide-eyed. Kairo blinked, impressed, while Tyouro chuckled. Kimimaru smirked slightly, clearly approving of Yura's subtle display.

The morning passed with more introductions and brief training exercises. Kairo struggled with controlling his Reikou Energy, sparks flickering around his hands as he tried simple attacks. Yura and Tyouro offered advice while Kimimaru silently demonstrated a perfect form, making it look effortless.

Lunch break brought its own chaos. The same group of bullies tried to snatch food from other students' trays. Yura stepped in again, moving faster than the eye could track. With a swift motion, the bully found himself sitting back down, unharmed but thoroughly embarrassed.

Kairo laughed, a mix of nervousness and relief. "Looks like I have a lot to learn," he said, watching Yura's calm precision in action.

As the sun began to set, the first day at Reikosha Academy came to an end. Kairo's body ached from training, but his mind was buzzing with excitement. This was only the beginning. He had friends, rivals, and countless challenges ahead but one thing was certain: he wouldn't stay at E-4 for long.

And somewhere deep within, a faint whisper of Gyakuun Energy trembled in Kairo's veins, hinting at the immense potential he had yet to unlock.

The story of the Divine Warrior had begun.
