*Thuk. Thuk.
The stationery held by some woman fell to the floor.
Rolling slowly, *Sert. As if time had slowed.
*Grin.
*Tsk. "That bastard.." Snorted the woman in front of Fiblio.
Her face was filled with uncontrollable irritation.
Her clenched fist tightened even more, *Grip.
*Wosh. She turned her body around quickly.
She stepped forward with impatient steps, *Tap. Tap.
While muttering,
"Bastard.."
"Bastard.."
"How dare a kid like that be so arrogant?!"
Her gaze was straight ahead, holding the door handle. *Grip.
The door opened quickly, creating a long creak. *Kreeet.
"We're going back." She said half-murmuring, directed at her subordinates.
"We have to hand this case over to the Guild head."
*Grip.
"How dare that kid insult us.."
One of the subordinates started to ask, "Then what about that Fiblio?"
"Release his restraints, just let him wander around these Outer Slums."
Her steps grew faster, "A traitor like him deserves that."
In her heart, she began thinking hard. "Besides, that's what that kid wants anyway.."
"Judging from his existence and dominance, he really is strong and skilled.."
*Grip.
"We investigators don't have combat abilities.."
"But the Guild has 7 S-rank adventurers and dozens of A-ranks.."
"If only…"
"If only the step I take will make us be targeted.."
*Tsk.
"That's not a problem. As long as someone like him can be stopped.."
The story slowly shifts, moving away from the long corridors lit only by torchlight.
Heading straight to the city of Geaz, where Guiver is.
The air in that wide courtyard was extremely heavy.
Not because of Guiver's wind magic pressure, but because of the presence aura of several people that made it seem as if even nature itself was struggling to contain them.
No one spoke, even when Guiver started the conversation at first.
"Who else are you guys?"
The question he had been throwing out all this time went unanswered.
Someone looked downward, watching the ranting platoon leader who was shouting.
On the surface of the ground, only the two platoon leaders were still breathing despite being pinned down by Guiver's wind magic.
"T-Tuan…" His voice was full of hope toward the people above him.
That voice broke the silence above the ground.
The hundreds of soldiers under him who were pinned down as well, had all lost their lives.
With a flat gaze, the man extended his index finger downward.
"Oinull." He said softly.
In an instant, the entire area of the city of Geaz shook violently.
"W-WHAT IS THIS?!" Shouted one of the citizens inside the city.
*Bwooosh. Something pitch black with a diameter of 200 meters shot out from beneath his feet, heading toward the ground surface.
"People like you who are useless,"
"Don't deserve to live."
Guiver looked down, the pitch-black object floating in the air looked extremely terrifying.
*Pluk. A sound like closing a bottle with a hand was heard softly.
Suddenly, everything became silent. There was no sound of wind or screams anymore.
Even the sound of wind from Guiver's Aether Pressure, which was extremely noisy, could no longer be heard at all.
Filled with astonishment at the silence that had descended, Guiver slowly examined carefully what had happened.
His eyes widened, not believing what he was seeing.
"Oi, Oi!"
"W-What the hell is that?!"
His eyes widened even more,
"That wide courtyard…"
"I-… It's hollowed out… Clean?!"
There was no response from those people, only Reigh spoke inside him,
"He's totally insane, Guiver! You have to leave immediately!"
"Go where, idiot?!" He looked toward those people, "They don't look like they're gonna let me go!"
Exactly so, the people in front of Guiver, totaling 10 out of 11 people including each of them, all wore flat, expressionless faces.
They looked like predators locking onto their target.
Except for Basion.
He looked completely out of breath, asking for help, and was now in front of the man who had previously used Oinull.
*Haaa… Haaa… That was all he could do, unable to utter a single word.
A woman with a flirtatious tone began to sneer at him, "So pathetic~"
"Struggling against a kid?~"
Basion didn't reply to the sneer, even though he really wanted to retort.
Then a muscular man sneered again,
"RAHAHAHA!"
"You don't train your body enough!"
The man in front of Basion began to speak in a low tone.
"Find out, Gyu."
A small-bodied woman to the right of the man began to bring her right hand closer to her right eye, covering her left eye while letting her right eye be held by her tiny right hand.
2 seconds later,
"His internal organs are clogged by wind mixed with magic."
She released her hand, looking toward Guiver with both eyes open,
"He did it, and.."
"Don't underestimate his low level, he was able to incapacitate the entire previous force with just wind magic."
"But…"
"But?"
Gyu began trying the same thing on Guiver as she did on Basion and started thinking hard in her mind.
"This is strange." Her right eye opened wider, "Why.. can't I?!"
Seeing Gyu's strange behavior, the man who had previously ordered her began to ask.
"Why?" Everyone immediately looked toward Gyu.
With a tone full of doubt, Gyu answered,
"Why.. can't I.. see his past?.."
"Is it because.. his Re-Ex skill is passively active?.."
"But what is Re-Ex?"
"Re-Ex?" The man asked.
Guiver grumbled because he could hear the conversation of the people in front of him, "Who the hell is that loli?! So damn annoying leaking information."
Ignoring Guiver's grumbling, the man raised his left hand, pointing straight at Basion's stomach.
"Sol."
An invisible impact appeared in his palm, *Bush. Slamming into Basion's stomach.
"GUHHH!"
"Haaa! Haaa!"
"Th-Thank… you… Commander…"
Not responding to the thanks given by Basion, the man said flatly.
"Explain."
*Gluk. Basion immediately took a deep breath, *Huaaa.
"Re- Re-Ex is…"
"Based on what I experienced before, he can take back what has been taken.."
"My stealing ability is useless against him.."
"Hah?!" Snorted the muscular man, "Gyu's skill isn't stealing, so what is there to take back?!"
Gyu nodded slowly, while Basion instead grinned.
"Your brain isn't functioning, huh?"
"Isn't it obvious that Gyu is like 'taking' his data?!"
The muscular man asked again, "Then why can I see his statistics right now?"
"Dunno, maybe because only people like us can see it."
"Or maybe he himself doesn't understand it either."
Silence for a few moments.
In that silence, Basion immediately moved to the far left corner.
Now, the eleven of them stared at Guiver from bottom to top without saying a single word.
So did Guiver, he looked from one end to the other of each of them.
"Now you're all going quiet?" Guiver said half-murmuring.
Receiving no answer at all,
"Is he the new ruler of the city of Geaz?" Asked a woman with a flirtatious tone.
Basion nodded slowly.
"So cute~"
Gyu began to speak in a soft voice. "There's someone very familiar to all of us behind all this…."
All eyes turned to her, except for Basion.
"Former Vice Commander.. Cyrn Ofdhis.. Codename Nosay…."
"Him again?" Several people muttered softly, already fed up.
"Yes, he is also.. observ—"
Those words were immediately cut off by a harsh laugh.
"Ghuhuhu…"
"Your ability is indeed annoying,"
"Nolie…"
That soft yet cold voice came from far ahead of them, precisely behind Guiver.
All eyes turned to him, as did Guiver who turned around to look.
"Damn you, Cyrn!" Guiver shouted.
"Is this your doing again, huh?! Before this you trapped me with that damn thing!"
However, Cyrn only smiled faintly, "This isn't my wish, you know."
"In fact, everything became a mess because you destroyed my space."
Guiver's face was filled with irritation, "Damn old geezer!"
"Well… let's put that aside for now…" While slowly turning around.
His gaze slowly moved upward, highlighting everything from above.
It was clearly visible, the ground surface that was cleanly hollowed out with a wide diameter whose bottom couldn't even be seen.
Right above all that, there were 11 people on the North side, and 10 people on the South.
Each and every one of them showed no killing intent at all. Instead, they had relaxed and calm postures.
And in the middle of all that, there was also a 17-year-old boy who slightly raised his head when he saw the leader in front of him.
"Is this going to turn into…"
His voice was soft, but very characteristic of the tone Guiver used.
The corner of his lips slowly curved,
"A full-scale war?!"
Turning into a terrifying grin.
