Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Decisive Display of Force

The Bronze Tiger's Last Roar

The Bronze Tiger Syndicate, blinded by arrogance and financial humiliation, saw the delivery of the Patek Philippe Grand Complication as their final, desperate chance to destabilize the Li Dynasty. They believed Li Tianyi's elegance concealed weakness. They were spectacularly wrong.

The high-value asset was transported not by a standard courier, but by a highly secured, unmarked New Dawn Security armored truck, rerouted along a desolate, planned industrial highway—a route Tianfeng had specifically chosen as an efficient kill zone for an ambush.

The Syndicate thugs, a messy collection of hired muscle and remnants of their corporate security, launched their attack. They used two crude, unmarked vans to box in the New Dawn truck, attempting to force it off the road with predictable aggression.

The New Dawn's Efficiency

Inside the armored truck, the New Dawn Security team—led by a Captain personally vetted by Li Tianfeng—did not panic. Their training, funded by the limitless resources of the Dragon Capital Group, was designed to eliminate chaotic threats with overwhelming force.

The moment the vans made contact, the New Dawn truck executed a calculated, defensive maneuver. The truck's reinforced chassis effortlessly shrugged off the impact.

The back of the New Dawn truck sprang open, revealing not cargo, but a disciplined squad of heavily armed security specialists.

The thugs who poured out of the vans, armed with rudimentary firearms and blunt objects, were instantly neutralized. They were met with non-lethal, high-velocity suppression rifles that fired specialized kinetic rounds, designed to incapacitate targets immediately and decisively without creating undue mess or contamination.

The chaos of the ambush lasted precisely 45 seconds. The Syndicate's last aggressive action was immediately, ruthlessly suppressed by the Dragon Capital Group's commitment to overwhelming security efficiency.

Li Tianyi's Payment Protocol

Li Tianyi, currently enjoying a perfectly tempered swimming session in his rooftop infinity pool, received a discreet, real-time tactical report on his custom earpiece from his brother, Tianfeng.

"Operation completed," Tianfeng's cool voice reported. "The attempt to seize the Patek Philippe has been neutralized. All Bronze Tiger Syndicate perpetrators have been detained and transferred to a secure private facility. Minimal cleanup required."

"Excellent, Tianfeng," Li Tianyi replied, surfacing from the pool without a single drop of water marring his composure. "See to it that the captured thugs receive comprehensive medical care before they are handed over to the authorities. I prefer not to deal with messy injury claims."

Then came the true payment protocol for the Syndicate's inefficiency. Li Tianyi handed his towel to Su Qingyao, who was standing ready.

"Qingyao," Li Tianyi instructed, his voice ringing with calm authority. "Initiate the Bronze Tiger Retribution Protocol."

"Contact Li Tianyu (Imperial Star Media). Have her intelligence division leak a confirmed, documented history of the Bronze Tiger Syndicate's most egregious corporate crimes and tax evasions—crimes they thought were perfectly concealed. The public's perception of them must be surgically destroyed."

"Contact our Legal Division. File lawsuits totaling five times their remaining liquid assets, citing damages related to the kidnapping of Miss Lin Meixue and the attack on our security personnel. Make sure the legal fees alone bankrupt them."

"And finally, inform the CEO of the Bronze Tiger Syndicate—who did not participate in the physical attack but orchestrated it—that he has been permanently blacklisted from all global financial institutions affiliated with the Dragon Capital Group. He is now financially isolated from the world."

Li Tianyi then walked inside, leaving the sun-drenched pool. The Syndicate had attempted crude chaos and violence. The Li Dynasty responded with total, elegant, and overwhelming financial and systemic retaliation.

The payment was complete. Li Tianyi's new watch arrived later that evening, delivered by a respectful, clean-cut New Dawn courier. It was beautiful, complex, and flawlessly secured. Li Tianyi's tranquility remained absolute.
