The Chaos Magnet
The Mouri Detective Agency, located directly above a cafe and perpetually shrouded in the gloom of Kogoro Mouri's questionable competence, was officially the center of Beika's criminal chaos. Conan Edogawa—Shinichi Kudo shrunken—was now its diminutive, brilliant passenger.
Kaito, watching the live feeds in the Azure Blend command center, knew the inevitable was about to happen: A high-profile case would land in Mouri's lap, forcing Conan to take action.
"The variables are aligning, Kazuya-san," Kaito observed. "The client is en route. A wealthy architect named Katsura concerning a disputed will and a death threat. Standard motive, high-value target."
Kazuya, monitoring the profiling data, nodded. "The pattern is predictable. Conan-kun will solve the crime, but he will not possess the resources to control the outcome. That is where we intervene."
The Case: The Locked Room and the Architect's Will
The case unfolded as expected. Katsura, the architect, was found dead in a seemingly locked room at his suburban estate. The local police were baffled. Conan, using Kogoro as his unconscious puppet, quickly deduced the complex trick involving freezing air and specific angles—classic Shinichi Kudo genius.
However, the perpetrator, the victim's jealous junior partner, had cleverly hidden the murder weapon (a chemically treated icicle) in a way that, while solving the crime, Conan could not provide concrete, physical evidence without delaying the case and putting Ran and Kogoro in danger from the desperate killer.
The police were about to charge the wrong person due to lack of proof. This was the moment for The General's first official move.
The Invisible Assistance
Kaito issued the command from the Azure Blend.
"General Order 001: Execute a Level 2, non-traceable intervention. The objective is to secure irrefutable forensic proof without revealing the source."
1. The Hound's Precision:
Kaito contacted John Wick, the Captain of The Hound, who was stationed invisibly in the Mouri Agency's immediate perimeter.
"Wick," Kaito instructed over the encrypted line. "The murder weapon is concealed within the structural cavity of the victim's study. It requires a precise, undetectable extraction."
Wick deployed a single operative, a specialist in structural infiltration. In the midst of the police chaos, the operative—using advanced, System-provided tools—accessed the hidden cavity, retrieved the melted icicle's trace chemical residue, and placed the residue on a neutral, official police evidence log, ensuring no one noticed the brief breach.
2. Masato's Digital Smokescreen:
The perpetrator, realizing the investigation was turning toward him, attempted to erase his communication logs linking him to the victim.
"Masato," Kaito commanded his chief cryptographer. "Intercept the perpetrator's attempt to erase his logs. Do not stop him. Instead, manipulate the logs to leave a single, highly suspicious digital footprint that is easy for the police to find, but hard to trace back to us."
Masato executed the digital maneuver flawlessly. He created a fake, easily discoverable "trojan horse" file on the killer's computer—a file that contained a false, but damning, timestamp and conversation snippet.
3. Kazuya's Direction:
Kazuya, using Kaito's General authority, placed an anonymous, highly credentialed call to the lead Inspector—Megure's superior.
The voice was disguised, but the information was pure authority: "A thorough review of the crime scene's structural elements and the suspect's computer logs, focusing on the coordinates of the southeast wall and the timestamp 02:00:00, will yield immediate, irrefutable evidence. Do not question the source."
The Outcome
The police, following the precise, authoritative directions, found the manipulated digital footprint and, subsequently, the residual chemical evidence that The Hound had placed on the evidence log.
The case was closed instantly. The killer was apprehended.
Conan, watching the police proudly announce the solution—a solution slightly different from his own, yet based on his core deduction—was momentarily confused. The evidence appeared as if by magic, securing the killer's conviction.
He frowned, sensing an uncanny, invisible hand guiding the police.
Kaito watched the final report from the Azure Blend.
"Conan-kun receives the credit, the killer is neutralized, and the General's influence is established internally within the NPA structure," Kaito summarized. "The Dragon Throne has asserted its control over the narrative."
