Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: A Scum Among the Chrysos Heirs? Then Die!

Oliver stood aside, smiling but silent.

It seemed today was an opportunity to teach the two sisters a lesson.

"Saintess! You must be the Saintess!"

Without exception, the village chief was an old man.

He immediately kowtowed to Castorice, like a devout believer.

The other villagers also knelt and bowed.

"It must be talanton above, knowing our grievances, who sent the Saintess to save us!"

"Thank you, Saintess!"

Dozens of people bowed and kowtowed to Castorice.

This made Castorice's social anxiety act up.

But she was very happy.

Because this was the first time she had saved a life with her own hands.

She was no longer just a death God who could only bestow death.

Castorice loved this joy of saving people.

"My sister, she really is more suited to be a Resurrecting Saintess. I'll be the death God."

Polyxenia muttered to herself.

Oliver glanced at her, then raised his hand and ruffled her head: "Can you regrow limbs then?"

Polyxenia: "…"

The villagers bowed for a while, then enthusiastically invited Castorice to their village as a guest.

Castorice couldn't handle the enthusiasm of so many people and cast a pleading look at Oliver.

Oliver shook his head.

So Castorice decisively refused the villagers' invitation.

"Please, Saintess, come back to the village with us. We will certainly fully venerate you."

The old village chief's tone became somewhat solemn.

Castorice still refused. She would only stay with Oliver; if Oliver didn't go, she certainly wouldn't either.

"No, thank you for your kindness. My companion and I are leaving immediately."

Castorice prepared to turn and leave.

At this moment.

The villagers immediately dispersed, surrounding Oliver, Castorice, and Polyxenia.

The old village chief, with a smile on his face, walked closer and said, "I'm sorry, Saintess who can bring people back from the dead, you have made the wrong choice."

"I am a Chrysos Heir, more powerful than ordinary people, but I will also die."

"And you, you can actually resurrect the dead. What an incredible power."

"As you can see, I don't have many years left to live, but I don't want to die, so I need you, beautiful girl."

The old village chief babbled on and on.

Oliver finally understood.

This guy was a Chrysos Heir with golden blood. Decades ago, he followed Empress Khelidra to conquer the Titans and seize the fire seed.

However, they suffered a great defeat, the Empress disappeared, and his vitality waned. At thirty years old, he looked like a centenarian and would soon die.

Because Chrysos Heirs were more powerful than ordinary people, he gathered a group of people here, pretending to be villagers. In reality, they robbed passersby, stealing money and women, hoping to live a few more years lavishly before dying.

Who would have thought that today they would encounter a Saintess who could resurrect the dead? He was overjoyed.

"So, the five people who were just resurrected were all your accomplices, who were killed when their robbery attempt backfired."

Castorice immediately realized that she had resurrected five bad people.

She lowered her head, pressing her lips together.

Anger was inevitable; these people had deceived her.

"That's right, thank you, Saintess, for saving our lives."

One of the resurrected men curled his lips, revealing a playful smile.

That's disgusting.

"Do not harm the esteemed Saintess."

The old village chief said loudly, "The other two people seem to have a good relationship with the Saintess. Capture them first, and I believe the Saintess will comply readily."

As his voice fell, everyone looked towards Oliver and Polyxenia.

A young man, and a delicate young girl.

By all appearances, they would be easy to capture alive.

"Castorice, this is your first lesson regarding your power of resurrection."

"If you resurrect the wrong people, you are responsible for sending them back on their way."

Oliver spoke calmly.

He showed no reaction of panic whatsoever.

"I see you don't grasp the situation at all, child. The advantage is currently with—"

Just as the old village chief was about to mock him and show off, a size 42 foot instantly appeared!

In that brief instant, the old village chief heard a sentence: "Old fart, no one gets to act arrogant in front of me."

Bang!

Everyone saw the old village chief fly backward like a cannonball, not only breaking two trees but also completely deforming his body.

Clearly, he wouldn't survive.

Everyone was stunned by the sudden turn of events.

What kind of speed was that just now?

That man was clearly inside the encirclement, so how did he suddenly appear in front of the village chief?

They exchanged glances.

They all understood they had messed with the wrong person.

"The village chief is dead? Kicked to death?"

"Are the Chrysos Heirs this weak?"

"No, that person is too strong. Run!"

The villagers weren't stupid. Knowing they couldn't afford to provoke him, they immediately tried to flee.

However, they were entangled by the tree roots on the ground, unable to move.

"Castorice, Xiao Qian, send them on their way."

Oliver said indifferently.

Castorice and Polyxenia exchanged a look.

They were kind, but not naive saints.

If they encountered pitiful people, they would choose to help, but if they were enemies, the two sisters were not to be trifled with.

They immediately walked over, waved their left hands in front of the villains, and the wicked men lost their vitality, dissolving into motes of butterfly light.

Everything around them returned to silence.

Only the corpse of the old village chief in the woods proved that a murder had just taken place.

"Oliver, when I personally resurrected them, I was truly happy, because I was no longer just a simple executioner."

"But they deceived me. I almost resurrected several bad people, and they would have gone on to harm good people."

Castorice looked somewhat disappointed, sad, and self-reproachful.

She stood rooted to the spot, motionless.

Oliver walked up to her and gently embraced her. "You are very gentle, and you want to save pitiful people. There is nothing wrong with that. So go ahead and save anyone you want. If you are deceived, I will kill them all and send them back to you to repent."

"The kindness of our Castorice will not be trampled upon by anyone."

Hearing such sweet, honeyed words of affection, how could a young girl who had never experienced love possibly resist?

The emotional satisfaction was instantly maximized!

Castorice's heart raced, and she was deeply moved, murmuring softly:

"I'm not a child anymore. Thank you."

She placed her hands on Oliver's waist, returning the embrace.

Polyxenia, standing nearby, felt her scalp tingle from the sweetness of the words.

Oliver, in her eyes, was sparkling and handsome beyond description.

She also felt an urge to hug Oliver.

But now didn't seem quite appropriate.

"Well, I'm going back to the Underworld to work first."

"Sister, Oliver, see you in a year..."

Polyxenia immediately ran away after speaking.

It was as if staying for another second would make her do something strange.

Oliver and Castorice didn't even have time to speak before Polyxenia vanished.

"So, where do you want to go next?"

Oliver asked.

Castorice thought for a moment, gazing at Oliver with her beautiful eyes: "I've been killing people since I was young, so from now on, I want to save people and travel everywhere."

"So, will you... will you..."

Before Castorice could finish her sentence, a slender finger pressed against her lips.

"Don't ask. If you ask, the answer is yes."

Oliver smiled faintly.

Castorice also smiled.

She was very afraid of hearing Oliver say no.

Fortunately, he didn't say it.

An indescribable feeling was growing in Castorice's heart. She didn't understand it, but she sensed its presence.
