Chapter 37 - Hello, I'm Keqing. Ten Jars, Please!

"It seems the Fatui have already taken notice."

Keqing spoke softly. "I just wonder... did that guy actually manage to pull anything from this shop? And if so, what?"

"We can ask the shopkeeper. Or the Millelith stationed at the door," Ningguang replied as she walked toward the humble storefront.

"Lady Ningguang."

When Ningguang arrived at the entrance, the two Millelith guards immediately stood at attention, greeting her respectfully.

"No need for formalities."

Ningguang shook her head slightly. "When that man left the shop just now, did you see him holding anything?"

Having Millelith stationed here came with benefits. They monitored everything that came out of the shop.

Some items might be hidden in pockets or inventory, but anything carried by hand would be spotted.

"Just a bag of rice balls and a stack of paper talismans."

The guard recalled the scene and reported everything he had seen to Ningguang.

"Explosive Tags and rice balls, is it?"

Hearing the guard's report, Ningguang deduced that Childe had pulled a stack of Explosive Tags—the same kind she had acquired.

As for the rice balls, she wondered if they were just ordinary food or something with special effects.

A second later, Ningguang led Keqing into the shop.

"Shopkeeper, I brought someone to open jars today. Is there a reward?"

Stepping inside, Ningguang looked at Felix behind the counter with a graceful smile. "Perhaps... you could sell me an extra jar as a bonus?"

"Welcome."

Felix shook his head with a laugh. "Rewarding you with extra jars is against the rules. But I can offer you a blessing: may your luck be good today, and may you pull something satisfying."

As he spoke, his gaze shifted to Keqing.

She was a beautiful young woman with purple hair styled in twin tails that resembled cat ears, and amethyst eyes. Her skirt revealed a pair of slender legs wrapped in black tights, her proportions flawless.

The Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing.

A woman who despised laziness and inefficiency above all else.

"Hello, Shopkeeper Lin."

Keqing extended her hand toward Felix, speaking politely. "I am Keqing. It is a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to your guidance."

Ningguang had already briefed her on Felix's name and background back at the Jade Chamber, so she knew who he was.

She also knew he was incredibly mysterious. So, meeting him for the first time, she took the initiative to be respectful.

"Hello."

Felix smiled and shook her small, jade-like hand. "I'm Felix. As you can see, I'm just a jar shop owner. Are you here to open jars? The limit is ten jars per person per week."

He naturally wouldn't refuse Keqing's greeting.

He knew she was here to spend money.

Counting the thirteen jars already sold today, plus whatever Keqing and Ningguang bought, he would be selling over twenty jars in a single day.

His goal of unlocking the Exclusive Jar was getting closer.

"Yes."

Keqing nodded, then turned her attention to the shelves behind him.

So, the items Ningguang obtained came from these plain, unassuming jars.

The incomplete book that led to the creation of the Liyue Bank... it came from here too.

Almost instantly, Keqing's eyes were drawn to the top of the shelf. To the exquisite jar that sat there like a king among commoners.

Compared to the plain black jars, this one was clearly superior.

Its surface was smooth, its craftsmanship refined, and it occasionally pulsed with a faint luster.

"Shopkeeper Lin, is that the Exquisite Jar you mentioned yesterday?"

Ningguang, noticing Keqing's gaze, asked the question.

She remembered Felix mentioning that there was a tier above the Common Jar.

But to unlock it, one had to purchase a certain number of Common Jars first.

"Correct."

Felix nodded. "That is the Exquisite Jar. Although it is on display, no one is qualified to buy it yet. So I won't mention the price. You bought five jars yesterday, so you have five left for this week. As for Lady Keqing, you may purchase ten."

"Then give me ten jars."

Keqing pointed to the right side of the shelf without hesitation. "Start from that end. I'll take a row of ten."

As she spoke, she produced the prepared Mora.

She had come today with the sole intention of opening jars.

Aside from meeting Felix, she was here to gamble.

She was ready.

If she could pull something good, it would be a massive win.

One hundred thousand Mora per jar was nothing to her.

Ten jars cost only one million Mora.

But the potential return?

If she could pull a Devil Fruit, or a book like Ningguang's... that was something Mora couldn't buy!
