Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Demonic Encounter (Life and D

The sun had barely risen when word reached Han Jae-min: a Demonic Master had appeared near the Eastern Mountains. Unlike ordinary prodigies, this one radiated demonic Qi, dark and twisting, enough to corrupt the land it touched.

He arrived at the clearing, where a figure stood shrouded in shadow. Golden eyes met glowing crimson, black energy curling around the demon like smoke.

"I am Jang Mok," the demonic master said, voice low and commanding. "You are Han Jae-min, the swordsman of Twin Fang. Your rise has caught my attention. Murim is weak, divided… and soon, it will fall unless heroes like you rise to oppose us."

Jae-min's mind raced. This was no ordinary duel—it was a life-and-death battle, the kind that shaped Murim history.

"You will fight me," Jang Mok continued, "and through this, I will teach you the truth. The Murim Alliance—our world—is at war with the Demonic Alliance. Sect leaders argue and plot, prodigies duel, but the real enemy lies beyond—masters who use forbidden techniques to dominate all of Murim. You have the potential… but raw skill alone will not save you."

The battle began. Qi clashed with demonic energy, black tendrils writhing against golden Twin Fang arcs. Jae-min's body was pushed to its limit; every strike drained energy, every block tested endurance.

But with focus, strategy, and Eon-hwa and Seo Yura supporting, Jae-min began to understand the lesson. Twin Fang was not just a weapon; it was a path of energy, timing, and precision, the key to standing against powers far beyond normal sects.

Jang Mok's voice echoed in his mind. "Murim must unite. Factions, sects, prodigies… even Supreme Masters cannot face us alone. Only those who understand strategy, energy, and loyalty can survive. Remember this, swordsman: your path is not only strength—it is leadership, vision, and sacrifice."

The duel ended with Jae-min barely standing, bloodied but alive. Jang Mok vanished into shadows, leaving a lingering sense of dread—and a warning. Murim was on the brink, and the war between Murim and the Demonic Alliance had begun
